A New 'Kung Fu Panda' Animated Series Is In The Development At Netflix

Mumbai, March 17 - There is good news for the fans of "Kung Fu Panda". Netflix, one of the leading streaming platforms, has greenlit an animated "Kung Fu Panda" series with "Jumanji" actor, Jack Black, roped in to voice the main character, Po, reports Variety. ## Jack Black is not new in voicing Po in the "Kung Fu Panda" film franchise. He first lent his voice in the original "Kung Fu Panda" film in 2008, before reprising his role in "Kung Fu Panda 2" in 2011 and "Kung Fu Panda 3" in 2016. It is one of the highest-grossing animated film franchises with three films grossing $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office. ## Meanwhile, the Netflix series is titled "Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight", in which, a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on a collection of four powerful weapons. Po must leave his home to embark on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice that finds him partnered up with a no-nonsense English knight named Wandering Blade. ## Together, these two mismatched warriors set out on an epic adventure to find the magical weapons first and save the world from destruction — and they may even learn a thing or two from each other along the way, as per Variety. The series is in the works at DreamWorks Animation, which was behind the film series. ## The first look images from the series have also been revealed.
