Box Office: James Bond 'No Time To Die' Tops $700M Worldwide

Mumbai, November 14 - James Bond "No Time To Die" has crossed a mammoth $700 million at the global box office after $28.5 million worldwide this weekend. It becomes the 2nd Hollywood film, after Universal Pictures' "Fast & Furious 9", to reach the milestone during the covid-19 pandemic. It currently stands at $708 million, including $150 million in North America. ## Daniel Craig's swan song as James Bond, "No Time To Die" continued to remain strong at the domestic box office despite being available on PVOD as of this past Tuesday. It grossed $4.62 million in its 6th weekend top $150 million domestic box office. It is likely to cross "A Quiet Place part II" ($160 million) to place fifth during the pandemic. ## "No Time To Die" is currently the 6th highest-grossing film in the Bond franchise at the domestic box office, behind only the 2002 "Die Another Day" ($161M), $167 million in 2006, $168 million in 2008, $304 million in 2012, and $200 million in 2015. Inflation notwithstanding, the 25th Bond film is the 3rd highest at the worldwide BO in the franchise, after "Skyfall" ($1.1 billion), and "Spectre" ($880 million). ## Cary Joji Fukunaga-directed will most likely cross "F9's" global box office total of $721 million, including $549 million overseas, by the end of the next weekend, to become the top-grossing Hollywood film during the pandemic. It has earned $126 million in the United Kingdom so far. In China, it has earned $58 million in the first 17-days of release there. Daniel Craig, who said he'd rather slash his wrists than make another 007 after his Spectre (2015), is returned as the world's most famous secret agent, James Bond for one last time. ## The final trailer of "No Time To Die" takes the audience through the journey of Craig as James Bond. Los Angeles, May 26, 2021: In a landmark deal, Amazon.com Inc., an American tech giant, has bought the iconic Hollywood movie studio, MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) for a massive sum of $8.45 billion, on Wednesday. ## The new deal between Amazon and MGM will add a vast collection of Hollywood classics and franchises to Amazon's mix. MGM boasts a film library of around 4,000 titles and 17,000 hours of TV programming, including the Bond, Rocky/Creed, and The Hobbit film franchises.## Meanwhile, the billion-dollar deal came at a time when the 25th installment in the James Bond film series - No Time to Die, is only a few months away from its worldwide theatrical release. The question, however, arises whether "No Time To Die" will release in theaters or it will go directly to Amazon Prime Video. ## Well, there is some breather for cinemas in this regard as longtime James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. 'No Time To Die' pushed to November amid coronavirus scare

Los Angeles, March 5 (IANS) The release date for the upcoming James Bond film 'No Time To Die', starring Daniel Craig in his final 007 outings, has been postponed until November amid fears around coronavirus. The film was due to be released in April.## Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have now said that "after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace" the film has to be delayed, reports dailymail.co.uk.## The film will release on November 12 in the UK and on November 25 in the uS, with other release dates worldwide to follow.## The news of the delay was announced on the film's official Twitter account, and it comes amid growing concerns over the threat of deadly coronavirus, which has infected more than 92,000 worldwide and killed 3,110 globally according to the latest figures by World Health Organisation.## Earlier this week, prominent James Bond fan site MI6-HQ.com wrote an open letter requesting the delay of "No Time To Die", the upcoming installment in the British spy series that brings back Daniel Craig as Agent 007 for a final time.## The makers had also scrapped the Chinese press tour and premiere due to the coronavirus epidemic. The world premiere for "No Time To Die" was scheduled to take place on March 31 in London.## "No Time To Die" is Craig's fifth portrayal as James Bond.
