Hyderabad, August 21 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's much-awaited fantasy action drama Vishwambhara with Bimbisara director Mallidi Vassishta, has officially been postponed yet again amid endless rumours, pushing its release from the summer of 2025 to the next year. The film, which has already generated massive buzz among fans, was initially slated for a grand January 2025 release before being moved to mid-2025. According to the makers, the delay comes as the team requires additional time to polish the film's heavy VFX work, which plays a crucial role in bringing its larger-than-life vision to the big screen. On August 21, the makers shared a video featuring Chiranjeevi, in which the megastar addressed fans' concerns regarding the continuous delay in the film's release. "The second half of Vishwambhara is driven entirely by VFX and graphics. The delay is a conscious choice to ensure the highest quality. This is a film being made with passion, without cutting corners," said Chiranjeevi. It was then revealed that Vishwambhara will now hit the big screen in the summer of 2026. While the exact date was not revealed, reliable reports say it will hit the screens in April. While fans will have to wait longer for the film's theatrical release, there is still reason to celebrate. The film was announced in 2023 with the first look poster, and since then, the fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. ## Vishwambhara was supposed to be released on Sankranti 2025 but was postponed due to the pending work. Now, according to the latest Telugu media report, the movie is gearing up to hit the big screens on July 24, 2025, worldwide. Hyderabad, October 13 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara is turning into one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of 2025. Mega 157: Megastar Chiranjeevi To Reunite With Director Mohan Raja

Hyderabad, May 28 - Veteran Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for director Mallidi Vassishta's socio-fantasy film, Vishwambhara, which has been announced for Sankranthi 2025 release. The shoot for the same is expected to be wrapped up by July/August. ## Earlier this year, it was reported that Chiranjeevi would be reuniting with director Mohan Raja after 2022's Godfather. Now, the latest Telugu media reports have confirmed that the project has been locked and the story discussion for the movie happening at Coorg.## Tentatively titled Mega 157, the movie with Mohan Raja will be Chiranjeevi's immediate next after Vishwambhara and the pre-production for the same will kick start soon. Overseas Rights of Upcoming Telugu Biggies, 'Devara', 'Game Changer', 'Vishwambhara' and 'OG' Locked

Hyderabad, January 30 - Telugu cinema will be on a roll in the next couple of years with back-to-back Pan India biggies lined up for the release. In 2023, some of the biggest Tollywood stars will be in action with films that are some of the most anticipated ones among the nationwide audiences. ## The trade is quite optimistic about the upcoming Pan-Indian films regarding their box-office prospects, however, projections are split as far as their overseas business is concerned. According to the latest reports in Tollywood media, the overseas rights of Devara, Game Changer, Vishwambhara, and OG are locked. ## Jr. NTR-led "Devara" is easily one of the biggest Telugu films that reunited him with director Koratala Siva. The film was scheduled to release on April 5 this year but has now reportedly been postponed to a new date. It is said that Hamsini Entertainment has acquired the overseas theatrical rights of the film for 27 crores. The movie is expected to be released in August this year. ## Jr. NTR's "RRR" co-star Ram Charan teamed up with director Shankar for a political action drama film titled "Game Changer". The movie has been in production since 2022 but the shoot got delayed due to Shankar's other commitments. The makers are now planning to release the film in September this year. ## According to reports, the overseas theatrical rights of "Game Changer" have been bagged by Phars Films for 23 crores. The overseas business of the movie got hit by the continuous delay but it is expected to fetch good business for the domestic market. ## Megastar Chiranjeevi teamed up with director Mallidi Vassishta for a socio-fantasy film titled "Vishwambhara". The makers recently released a concept first look teaser which instantly caught the attention of the fans. The movie is carrying a very good buzz among the audiences as well as the trade and as a result, it fetched a good overseas deal. As per reports, Sarigama Cinemas acquired the overseas rights of Vishwambhara for 18 crores which is very good business. Box Office: Blockbusters 'Sita Ramam', 'Bimbisara', And 'Karthikeya 2' Crosses Combine 200 Crores Worldwide Gross

Hyderabad, August 23 - The Telugu film industry has delivered three blockbusters in the month of August 2022 in the form of Sita Ramam, Bimbisara, and Karthikeya 2. This is probably the first time in many years that the Telugu industry has delivered three big blockbusters at the box office. ## The three aforementioned films have crossed 200 crores at the worldwide box office, the first time for Telugu movies since May this year when Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" was released. In August, actor Nikhil Siddhartha's sensational blockbuster "Karthikeya 2" is leading the pack, scoring approx. 35% of total gross collection worldwide. ## The mystical action-adventure film has grossed 74.2 crores in 10 days, including 63.8 crores at the domestic box office. The movie opened to very good positive reviews from critics and audiences which transformed into big box office numbers. "Karthikeya 2" also becomes the highest-grossing film of Nikhil's career.## The second highest-grossing Telugu movie this month is director Hanu Raghvapudi's period romantic drama film "Sita Ramam". The Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer has been the most loved film of the month and has grossed approx. 66 crores so far in 18 days and still going strong.## The third big Telugu blockbuster of the month is Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's time travel fantasy action film "Bimbisara". It was one of the most hyped tier-2 Telugu movies and it also performed accordingly, becoming the biggest grosser of Kalyan Ram's career. Released on the same day as "Sita Ramam", the Mallidi Vassishta-directed is a little behind the former and has grossed approx. 60 crores so far.## The combined budget of all three films is around 80 crores while their worldwide gross collection currently stands at 201 crores.
