Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Release Date Locked

Hyderabad, June 15 - Telugu actor Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster iSmart Shankar. The sequel, titled Double iSmart, also stars Kavya Thapar as the female lead and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in his Telugu debut. ## Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects, Double iSmart has been locked to release on August 15 on the Independence Day after Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule believed to have been postponed. ## The sci-fi action drama was initially announced for a March 2024 release but due to the delay in the shooting, the movie stood postponed and will now be hitting cinemas this Independence Day week. The movie will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi in which it will be up against three straight Bollywood movies - Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa. ## As for the shooting of Double iSmart, it is said that except for three songs, the film has finished shooting. Two songs will be shot in Hyderabad and one in Goa soon. Akshay Kumar To Play A Cameo Role In Vishnu Manchu's 'Kannappa'

Hyderabad, April 8 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's mega-budget fantasy drama Kannappa is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. After bringing Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Nayanthara on board to play cameo roles, the makers strike another gold. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a crucial cameo role in the film, joining the massive star cast. It is not yet revealed which role the actor will play. ## Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie stars Vishnu Manchu in the title role of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Release Date Postponed

Hyderabad, February 16 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster film iSmart Shankar (2019). Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur, Double iSmart also features Sanjay Dutt, marking his Telugu debut in a full-fledged role. ## Double iSmart is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of the year and hence the makers are in no hurry to release it. According to the latest reports in Telugu media, the sci-fi action drama film, which was scheduled to be released in March 2024, has been postponed to June this year. ## The official announcement regarding the postponement of the film is expected to be made but it is said that plans are being made to release it on June 14. The movie is currently in production and is expected to wrap up soon. It will have a Pan India release in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages. Pawan Kalyan's 'Kushi' Re-Release Breaks Box Office Records

Hyderabad, January 1 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan has proved his might at the box office again as his classic blockbuster film Kushi breaks records upon its re-release in theaters on December 31, 2022.## Directed by S. J. Suryah, "Kushi", which was originally released in 2001, got re-released on December 31st and scored a record-breaking collection at the worldwide box office on its first day. The movie records 1.65 crores gross in the Nizam area, which is the biggest ever for a re-released Telugu film. ## In Telugu states, "Kushi" grossed approx. 3.60 crores (revised) on the opening day, which is again an all-time record for a re-released film, beating Pawan Kayan's "Jalsa" which grossed approx. 2.60 crores on the first day. Hyderabad, Jan 6 (IANS) The third song from Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya', which was released a couple of days ago, has stirred controversy as it has irked a section of rural medical practitioners in Telangana.## Titled 'Saana Kashtam', the song became an instant chartbuster, but the lyrics of the song have irked the rural medical practitioners (RMPs).## The song has a line that goes like this - 'Ededo Nimurochani Kurrollu RMPlu avuthunnaru'. It means, "Teenage boys have started medical practice as RMP doctors just to grab the chance to touch me", which has evoked a negative reaction from the RMPs.## It is reported that the section of RMPs has decided to approach the courts to address this issue, while they have also requested the cops to take strict action against the lyricist and director.## They have demanded the removal of the objectionable lyrics from the song in 'Acharya'.
