The Future of Superhero Lokah Franchise Revealed: Promises To Be An Epic Conclusion

Kochi, September 2 - The Malayalam cinema has its own Marvellous beginning of the superhero franchise, Lokah. The first part of the series, Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, was released recently amid glowing reviews, which led the movie to do wonders at the box office. Directed by Dominic Arun, Chandra has set the box office on fire, and scored the third biggest opening weekend ever for Malayalam cinema with 66 crores gross collection worldwide. This is by far the biggest Mollywood opening for a female-led title, and also for the superhero genre, which, anyway, is largely unexplored. Chandra featured post-credit scenes, featuring Dulquer Salmaan, who is also the producer of the film, and Tovino Thomas, as both will lead the next chapters of the franchise. As the anticipation is now all-time high for what will be going to unfold in the Lokah universe, the details regarding its future have been revealed. During the recent interview, cinematographer Nimish Ravi reportedly revealed that Lokah will be a five-part epic saga, where each film will be bigger than the last one. He also revealed that the director has already locked the stories for all five movies, which means the next film in the franchise will start rolling soon. Going by Ravi's words, Lokah will have a Marvel-esque conclusion where the heroes of the Lokah universe are likely to fight the main villain of it. Los Angeles, July 21 - The Hollywood film industry is currently riding high on back-to-back box office successes, with recent titles like F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Superman drawing in huge crowds. The upcoming lineup through the year is looking promising, with several titles expected to score big numbers. ## The spotlight shifts to Marvel Studios’ much-anticipated release, Fantastic Four: First Steps — the second reboot of the iconic superhero franchise, which is generating solid buzz ahead of its theatrical debut. But the Maddock has now decided to postpone Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's film. ## Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock believes that Param Sundari has a strong chance of succeeding at the box office, and he doesn’t want it to get lost in a crowded release schedule. Los Angeles, May 23 - The new Avengers movies will take more than the earlier scheduled time as Disney has postponed the release dates of Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret War by nearly 7 months each. ## Doomsday, which was supposed to be released on May 1st, 2026, will now debut in worldwide theatres on December 18, 2026. On the other hand, Secret Wars has been pushed back to December 17, 2027, from its originally planned May 7, 2027, launch. ## Notably, the new release calendar saw Disney remove several unannounced Marvel titles from its calendar.
