Hyderabad, December 13 - Telugu movie "Akhanda" has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. After putting on a thundering show at the box office, the action thriller has crossed Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross and has become NBK's first film to achieve the feet. ## Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" already became the highest opening week grosser for NBK, earning Rs. 67.55 crores net in the extended 8-day week. The strong word of mouth helped it to maintain the pace throughout the second weekend for Rs. 9.15 crores. With total worldwide gross collection stands at Rs. 101.50 crores, including the staggering India gross of 89 crores, the movie has turned out to be a hugely profitable venture for the distributors, with an AP/TG share of 52.07 crores. ## The film is a huge blockbuster for its investors in Nizam and other areas. In Nizam alone, it fetched Rs. 17.42 crores gross over 11 days, followed by Ceded with Rs. 13.27 crores. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" has crossed Rs. 50 crores worldwide gross in just 3 days, which is a record for Balakrishna's film. ## The action entertainer stunned that trade experts with an opening of Rs. 24.60 crores India gross on Thursday. It carried the momentum with Rs. 11.50 cr. and Rs. 12.40 crores gross on Friday and Saturday. Nandamuri Balakrishna And Boyapati Sreenu's Third Collaboration - BB3 Titled As 'Akhanda'

On the occasion of Ugadi, the much-awaited title of Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming actioner with director Boyapati Sreenu is out, and keeping all the speculations aside, the film is titled 'Akhanda'. The movie marks the third collaboration of the hit combo of actor-director. ## The title was announced with a 1-minute long teaser in which, Balakrishna is looking in the fierce avatar as Aghori and stealing the show with his powerful dialogue and roaring screen presence. ## Produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the banner Dwaraka Creations, the movie stars Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead while Srikanth Meka plays the antagonist. Earlier, Sayyeshaa Saigal was supposed to romance the senior hero in the film, but later, she was replaced by the Jabalpur bombshell Pragya Jaiswal due to unknown reasons. ## While the shooting of the film is on the verge of completion, recently, the makers have shot high-octane action sequences involving Balakrishna and the principal cast at the Dandeli forest in Karnataka. Written by Boyapati Srinu, S Thaman has scored the music. ## Akhanda film marks the third joint venture of Balayya and Boyapati after two blockbusters 'Simha' and 'Legend'.
