Mumbai, March 14 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan impressed one and all with his performance in director Nag Ashwin's epic Kalki 2898 AD which was released last year. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. It will have a month-long schedule and he will rejoin the filming with other actors later.## Kalki 2 will mainly focus on the conflict between Prabhas' Bhairava, Big B's Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan's supreme Yaskin. Per the report, Bachchan's screen time has been increased in the sequel.## Big B will reportedly start preparation for his role by the end of this month (March). Hyderabad, November 24 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of 2024 with over 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. Hyderabad, October 9 - One of the biggest Indian blockbusters of the year, Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi action drama Kalki 2898 AD is gearing up for its release in Japan and other international territories with Russia and China in the consideration. ## According to Variety, Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD will be released in Japanese cinemas in early 2025 through Twin, the distribution company headed by industry veteran Kabata Keizo. The studio previously released SS Rajamouli's directorial RRR which is currently the highest-grossing Indian title in Japan. ## Prabhas is a popular Indian star in Japan. Underwhelming Viewership To Prabhas-Fronted 'Kalki 2898 AD' On Netflix

Mumbai, September 11 - Sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, is one of the biggest hits of the year in the Hindi language. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie scored approximately 294 crores net collection in the dubbed version and is currently the second biggest of 2024. ## Kalki 2898 AD was sold to Netflix for the post-theatrical streaming of the Hindi version at a handsome price. Given the fantastic box office performance, it was expected to be a big success for the streamer, however, the response so far has been underwhelming as far as the Hindi version is concerned. ## The movie debuted on Netflix with a promising viewership of 4.5 million views in the opening weekend.
