Captured mid-action, he is seen wielding a heavy weapon resembling a rusted iron rod or scepter. Box Office: 'Vidaamuyarchi' And 'Thandel' First Sunday Early Estimates

Chennai, February 9 - Ajith Kumar's action thriller Vidaamuyarchi has had a good first weekend at the domestic box office, however, it failed to keep up the momentum after the big opening due to mixed word of mouth and remake factor. ## On its first Sunday (4th day), the movie scored more or less the same as on Saturday as early estimates suggest the collection to be around 15 crores gross, including around 13 crores gross in the home state, Tamil Nadu. The total 4-day weekend collection is around 72+ crores domestically, including 61+ crores in Tamil Nadu, as per estimates. ## The pre-sales of the movie for Monday are pretty average which was expected given the reception from audiences. It needs to be seen how strong the walk-ins will be as the film needs to have a good hold during the weekdays to have long and emerge a success.## Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya's Telugu romantic action drama Thandel has a fantastic and easily the biggest opening weekend for the actor. As per the estimates, the film has scored a decent jump on Sunday, especially in Telugu states which is not a regular case with Telugu titles. ## According to estimates, Thandel is expected to score around 14-15 crores gross collection domestically, including 12-13 crores gross in Telugu states. With this, the total domestic opening weekend of the movie is around 42 crores gross which is superb. ## The word of mouth for the movie is on the positive side which should lead to good hold during the weekdays. Hyderabad, February 8 - Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's romantic action drama Thandel is proving to be a success story at the box office. The movie is creating a stir and living up to the pre-release hype with an excellent collection all over. ## Thandel delivered the career-best opening for Naga Chaitanya and on its second day, the movie has an excellent hold with a drop of just around 10% which is normal for a Telugu title. According to early estimates, the Chandoo Modenti's directorial earns in the range of 12-13 crores gross on Saturday. ## The fantastic second-day hold pushes the total collection of Thandel to 25+ crores gross domestically and the 3-day opening weekend can rise to 37-38+ crores gross which is a fantastic collection. The word of mouth is okay and the film is likely to do well during the weekdays which remains to be seen. ## Meanwhile, Himesh Reshmiyan's action comedy Badass Ravikumar is witnessing a drop on the second day after a good first-day collection of over 2.50 crores net. Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, February 5 - After a back-to-back couple of box office failures, Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya's romantic action thriller Thandel is gearing up to hit the big screens on February 7 amid high expectations. The movie has created a good buzz and is set for a better start this weekend. ## Thandel reunites Naga Chaitanya with actress Sai Pallavi after the superhit Love Story (2021), which was the only solo hit for the former post the Covid-19 pandemic. The movie is directed by Chandu Mondeti, whose last directorial, Karthikeya 2, was a huge blockbuster at the box office. ## Despite poor recent records for Chaitanya, Thandel has managed to fetch career-best pre-release theatrical business for the actor. Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' Post-Theatrical Digital Rights Sold To Netflix For Record 40 Crore

Hyderabad, April 29 - Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya reunited with director Chandoo Mondeti for a rustic love story action thriller Thandel which is scheduled to release theatrically later this year. The movie has Sai Pallavi as the female lead, reuniting with Chaitanya after Love Story (2021). ## Thandel is touted to be the best film of Naga Chaitanya and hence, not only in trade, the movie is in hot demand in digital and satellite. Recently, it was announced that Netflix acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the movie and now, according to the latest Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 40 crores for the same. ## The 40 crores deal with Netflix is the highest-ever digital deal for a Naga Chaitanya film which shows the anticipation for the movie among the audiences. Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh's Blockbuster Marathi Film 'Ved' To Also Have Hindi Dubbed Digital Release

Mumbai, April 12 - Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi directorial debut film Ved recently completed 100 days in theaters with the blockbuster collection. It was released in theaters on December 30, 2022, and has grossed close to 75 crores, becoming the second highest-grossing Marathi film of all time. ## The film has been enjoying its run in theaters for more than 3 months and credit to the makers for giving it enough time to make the most of it. Since there is not much left in the tank for Ved as far as the box office is concerned, it is now gearing up for its digital release. ## Ved will be released on Disney+Hotstar on April 28. It will also be dubbed into Hindi language and will simultaneously be released on Hotstar with the Marathi version. The Hindi version wasn't released in theaters. ## Ved becomes the rare Marathi film to also have a dubbed release. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu-language romantic drama, Majili, and stars Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, reprising the roles of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu from the original movie. ## The film may bring huge viewership to Disney Plus Hotstar for the Hindi version as the Hindi audience is aware of the film and its box office performance. ## Stay tuned...
