'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' Beats 'Venom' At The Domestic Box Office After Re-Release

Los Angeles, January 24 - Tom Hardy-fronted "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is putting strong legs at the domestic box office, even after it was made available on PVOD services in late November 2021. ## The superhero movie, directed by Andy Serkis, was re-released second last weekend in the domestic (North America) market. The Marvel/ Sony film grossed an additional $175k in its second weekend of re-release and 17th overall, lifting its overall domestic cume to an estimated $213.5 million.## After its latest box office figure, "Venom 2" has matched the total cume of 2018's "Venom" movie at the domestic box office and will cross it anytime now. "Venom 2" was already the 3rd highest domestic grosser of the covid-19 pandemic era, and now, with crossing "Venom", it has achieved another milestone. Not to forget, "Venom" had released in a time when there was no covid. ## At the worldwide box office, "Venom 2" is only the 4th Hollywood title of the pandemic era to cross $500 million, after "Spider-Man: No Way Home", "James Bond - No Time To Die", and "Fast & Furious 9". With nearly $503 million, "Venom 2", however, is way behind "Venom's" global cume of $856 million.## The movie stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom alongside Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson in prominent roles. In the film, Brock and the alien symbiote Venom must face serial killer Cletus Kasady (Harrelson) after he becomes the host of an offshoot of Venom named Carnage.## Interestingly, the next "Venom" movie could be the ultimate decider as it might introduce the face-off between Spider-Man and Venom. The post-credit scenes of both movies also indicate the face-off between these two comic book archnemesis. ## Stay tuned...

Venom 2 Review: Critics Call This Tom Hardy Fronted A Silly But A Fun Watch

Mumbai, September 30 - Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist who is the host of an alien symbiote Venom, in the superhero film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage. It is the second film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the standalone sequel to the blockbuster "Venom" (2018). ## In "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", Eddie Brock tries to reignite his career in journalism by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who becomes the host of the alien symbiote spawn of Venom, named Carnage. The film is directed by Andy Serkis from a screenplay by Kelly Marcel, based on a story she wrote with Tom Hardy. ## "Venom 2" stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom alongside Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, and Stephen Graham in prominent roles. The movie is scheduled to open in the USA on October 1 after being preponed from October 15. In India, the movie will debut in theaters on October 14. Meanwhile, the reviews of "Venom 2" are out and the critics are liking it. ## Check them here - ## Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a wild-ass movie of the highest order. Ultraviolent rom com that is delightfully self aware and weird. Tom Hardy gives 200%. Whatever you do, don"™t miss the post-credits. #VenomLetThereBeCarnage pic.twitter.com/yoSBH67wMs— Dan Casey (@DanCasey) September 28, 2021 ## Review: #VenomLetThereBeCarnage 3.5/5 🌟'sThe second installation of Venom is well worth the wait & loads of fun. The Venom sequel finds its stride as a dark comedy, infused with Woody Harrelson's fresh, chaotic energy. Tom Hardy is fantastic & officially owns this role now. pic.twitter.com/0NLGbrssDg— Cinema Tweets (@CinemaTweets1) September 28, 2021 ## Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the Citizen Kane of Marvel movies. Tom Hardy delivers what can only be described as deeply nuanced and multi-layered performance as Eddie Brock. His dramatic scenes with Venom are a masterclass in acting. A Masterpiece. #VenomLetThereBeCarnage pic.twitter.com/9ZJdmLujNW— Scott Menzel (@ScottDMenzel) September 29, 2021 ## The special effects for #VenomLetThereBeCarnage was absolutely incredible. There were so many beautiful shots throughout the movie that perfectly bring to life both Venom and Carnage. pic.twitter.com/kuaoypWifH— Matt Ramos (@therealsupes) September 28, 2021 ## #VenomLetThereBeCarnage is SILLY. But apparently it's my kind of silly. I ❤️ Eddie and Venom - maybe too much ... so much that my brain lets this movie get away with a whole lotta nonsense. Also, yes, there's a credits scene and yes, you very much need to see it. pic.twitter.com/iPAtLXGk6X— Perri Nemiroff (@PNemiroff) September 29, 2021 ## #VenomLetThereBeCarnage was a mixed bag for me. Tom Hardy shines in the comedic role he was born to play, but a tonally inconsistent script & a jarring breakneck pace hurt the film overall. Stay for the post credit scene that serves as a marvelous tease for big things to come! 👀 pic.twitter.com/W4zHtRrTkQ— Diego Andaluz (@thediegoandaluz) September 29, 2021 ## I can guarantee you that you will leave the theater after watching #VenomLetThereBeCarnage being so HYPED for everything that"™s coming!— Matt Ramos (@therealsupes) September 28, 2021 ## Stay tuned...

Venom: Let There Be Carnage Hopes To Score Big At The Domestic Box Office In The Blockbuster Month Of October!

Los Angeles, September 30 - Sony Pictures' superhero film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has a task in hand to deliver at the box office. A strong box office performance at the domestic front from Tom Hardy-fronted could set the tone for the rest of the movies coming out in the month of October in form of the potential blockbusters, "No Time to Die" on October 8, "Halloween Kills" on October 15, and "Dune" on October 22. ## Going into the box office business, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has plenty of things in favor. For the first time since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, the USA box office is witnessing a quick recovery, thanks to the recent releases, "Shang-Chi", "Free Guy", "A Quiet Place 2", and others. There is also a great vibe about moviegoing right now, which is just the beginning and expected to reach a pre-covid level soon. ## "Venom 2" is releasing on the back of a solid box office performance of Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings", which not only led Disney to announce an exclusive theatrical release of its upcoming movies but also was one of the reasons behind Venom's release being pushed up to October 1 from October 15.## Talking about "Venom 2's" box office potential, Sony Pictures is conservatively estimating $40 million over three days at 4,200 plus locations. However, the local surveys and tracking and leading exhibitors are looking at a minimum $60 million debuts at the North America box office. "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" might not reach $80.2M, which was scored by "Venom" in 2018, but it is surely going to surprise everyone. ## There is another thing in favor of Andy Serkis-directed sequel that it got great reviews from critics unlike Venom, which was rated just 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film had grossed over $856M worldwide including $213 million at the domestic box office. However, it was the time when the world was completely naive about the covid-19, which one year later, brought the world to its knees. ## Keeping the pandemic aside, "Venom 2" is expected to have a good run at the box office. It is the second film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe. The film is directed by Andy Serkis from a screenplay by Kelly Marcel, based on a story she wrote with Tom Hardy who stars as Eddie Brock / Venom alongside Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. ## Stay tuned...

Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill Is In The Race To Play Next James Bond!

Los Angeles, September 27 - Daniel Craig is all set to retire as James Bond after the upcoming "No Time To Die", scheduled to release on September 30 internationally. Craig has worked on five Bond movies including the upcoming one and is regarded as one of the greatest Bond characters in the history of the spy thriller franchise.## Meanwhile, the talks about the next James Bond have already become a red hot topic in Hollywood. According to variety, betting company William Hill has picked Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, Regé-Jean Page, James Norton, and Luke Evans, who, one of them, could possibly replace Craig.## Despite the number of speculative names, James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the long-time partners of the iconic spy franchise, have said they want to let Craig enjoy his time and the prospect of replacing him isn't something they're discussing until 2022.## In an interview on BBC Radio 4's popular Today program on Monday, the producers were asked if they have decided who might replace Craig's 007. "Oh, God no", said Broccoli. "We're not thinking about it at all. We want Daniel to have his time of celebration. Next year we'll start thinking about the future".## There are also murmurs about whether a woman could be the next Bond. However, Broccoli told the U.K.'s Press Association news agency that Bond would not be played by a woman, at least, not in near future. ## "James Bond is a male character. I hope that there will be many, many films made with women, for women, by women, about women", said Broccoli. "I don't think we have to take a male character and have a woman portray him. So yes, I see him as male. And I'm sort of in denial, I would love for Daniel to continue forever".## The 25th film in the Bond franchise, "No Time To Die" is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. Scheduled to debut in theaters on October 8 in the USA, the movie stars Daniel Craig as 007 along with Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, and Ralph Fiennes reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik in prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...

Will 'No Time To Die' Go Directly To Amazon Prime? Here Is The Answer

Los Angeles, May 26, 2021: In a landmark deal, Amazon.com Inc., an American tech giant, has bought the iconic Hollywood movie studio, MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) for a massive sum of $8.45 billion, on Wednesday. ## The new deal between Amazon and MGM will add a vast collection of Hollywood classics and franchises to Amazon's mix. MGM boasts a film library of around 4,000 titles and 17,000 hours of TV programming, including the Bond, Rocky/Creed, and The Hobbit film franchises.## Meanwhile, the billion-dollar deal came at a time when the 25th installment in the James Bond film series - No Time to Die, is only a few months away from its worldwide theatrical release. The question, however, arises whether "No Time To Die" will release in theaters or it will go directly to Amazon Prime Video. ## Well, there is some breather for cinemas in this regard as longtime James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are determined to keep the Bond franchise on the big screen in the wake of mega deal. ## "We are committed to continuing to make James Bond films for the worldwide theatrical audience", Broccoli and Wilson said in a statement out of London, where they run Bond home Eon Productions, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ## No Time To Die, after being delayed numerous times because of the pandemic, is set to hit theaters on October 8 (USA) this year (the Amazon-MGM deal won't likely be closed then). MGM subsidiary United Artists Releasing is distributing the highly anticipated tentpole domestically, while Universal Pictures International is handling overseas duties.## Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the movie features Daniel Craig in his final turn as 007. It also stars Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, among others in pivotal roles. ## Stay tuned...
