B Praak Dedicates His National Award For Teri Mitti To His Fans

Mumbai, April 21, 2021: Singer B Praak was shot to fame after he sang "Teri Mitti" song from Akshay Kumar starrer "Kesari". The patriotic Hindi song which gives as a tribute to soldiers received a brilliant response from fans, and later, B Praak won the prestigious National Award as Best Playback Singer for the song. ## He calls the win a blessing and expresses gratitude. "It feels absolutely amazing as I never thought that I would one day get a National Award. It definitely makes me feel blessed to have got it. It's all due to God’s grace", B Praak told IANS.## When asked to whom he will dedicate this award, the singer said, "Definitely to my fans! They have always been one of my greatest support systems and are my constant inspiration. It's their continued blessings and love that helped me reach such heights of success and today has led me to receive a National Award".## The 35-year old singer from Punjab also recalled the reaction Akshay Kumar gave when he listened to the song for the first time. "I remember the first time I dubbed the song, Akshay Kumar sir called to congratulate me and conveyed how the song had touched his soul and appreciated how beautifully it was sung. I'll never forget his words where he said, you have sung the best song of my life. Hearing this, I was left speechless. That day I truly realized that this song would stay in my heart and this world forever".## Teri Mitti song was launched on 15 March 2019 while the movie, Kesari released on March 21. This song also has a female version which is sung by Parineeti Chopra who appeared in the movie as the female lead. Tamil superstar Dhanush won big at the 67th National Film Awards, which were announced on Monday (March 22). The actor won his second National Award in the Best Actor category for Tamil movie, Asuran. He has jointly been announced the winner of Best Actor with verstile actor Manoj Bajpayee who won his 3rd National Award for Bhonsle. ## Asuran also announced the Best Film in Tamil in the 67th National Film Awards. Deligted on being honoured with the prestigious award, Dhanush took to social media and thanks National Award jury and director Vetrimaaran along with others for believing in him for his role Sivasami in Asuran. ## "I woke up to this amazing news of being honoured with the prestigious national award for ASURAN. To win one best actor award is a dream, to win Two is nothing short of a blessing.
