KKR Stops RR's Ten Consecutive Winning Streak At Jaipur

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets on Wednesday (April 18) at their fortress, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. This was RR's first defeat after ten consecutive wins at Jaipur. Although, RR couldn't give tough fight after KKR spinners restricting them to 160 for 8 in 20 overs. The chase proved to be walk in the park for KKR as they won their third game to move to the top of the points table.##After winning the toss, Dinesh Karthik decided to field first. Royals off to a good start and put 54 run stands for the first wicket before Rahane stumped by Dinesh Karthik of Nitish Rana. Rahane made 36 off 19 and hit 5 fours ( Including four fours in a row to Sunil Marine) and a six. On the other hand, D'Arcy Short, who scored 21 runs in 3 matches so far, found difficult to score against spinners. He faced 28 balls from spinners and scored only 18 runs. D'Arcy made 43-ball 44 before he bowled out to Nitish Rana. RR continue losing wickets and managed to get only 160 for 8 in 20 overs. KKR spinners, Kuldeep, Rana, and Chawla conceded only 52 runs in 10 overs and picked 4 wickets. However, Narine conceded 48 runs in his 4 overs without picking any wicket.##In the chase, KKR couldn't start well as Chris Lynn bowled out by Krishnappa Gowtham on the third ball of the innings. Lynn couldn't open his account and went for the golden duck. But Narine and Robin Uthappa didn't give any chance to come back strongly to RR. Dinesh Karthik and Rana didn't give any chance further and chase down the target in 18.5 overs. The duo put on an unbeaten 61 runs for the 4th wicket. Kolkata Knight riders back to winning streak after two consecutive losses, beaten Delhi Daredevils by 71 runs in a one-sided affair on Monday (April 16). DD never looked in the game despite, Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell's 62 run partnership in 33 balls between them.## Sour Gautam Gambhir's Eden Gardens return, where he scripted several victories for KKR.##Russell and Rana played a big part in KKR innings. However, Maxwell was trying hard to keep the momentum but after hitting two sixes to Kuldeep Yadav, he lost his wicket too in trying to hit another. DD's lower order couldn't do much and lost last five wickets on just 16 runs. DD were bowled on 129 in just 14.2 overs and lost the match by 71 runs. Sunil Narine picked 3 wickets and conceded only 18 runs in 3 overs.##Nitish Rana named Man Of The Match for his brilliant knock of 59 in just 35 balls.
