The Mega Release Plans For Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipurush'

Mumbai, January 28 - The year 2022 is looking highly promising for the Indian film industry. The year is filled with many potential blockbusters led by the biggest stars of the country. Among the most anticipated films coming in 2022, director Om Raut's magnum opus, "Adipurush" starring Prabhas, looks stand apart from the rest of them all. ## Based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, "Adipurush" is catching global attention because of its massive scale and global appealing star cast. The Rs. 400 crores budgeted film stars Prabhas as Ram, along with Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Laxman, among others in prominent roles. ## While the shoot of the film has already been completed in over 100 days, the makers are now planning for its widest release possible at the worldwide level. Shot simultaneously in Hindi, and Telugu languages, the movie was also announced to be released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, and now, it has been revealed that it will also release in foreign languages. ## According to the reports, "Adipurush" makers have put mega plans to release the movie in 15 languages [Domestic + International] including Japanese and Chinese on over 20000 screens worldwide. It will be the widest release ever for an Indian movie. The Entire Shoot Of Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipurush' Is Completed

Mumbai, November 10 - The entire shoot of possibly the most-awaited and the biggest film of the Indian cinema, "Adipurush", led by Prabhas, has been completed on November 9. The magnum opus feature film was shot in over 100 days, after taking off in February this year. ## The shoot went through a lot of hurdles due to the covid-19 pandemic, but the makers have done very well to complete it 10 months before the release is planned. Kriti Sanon was the first to complete her portion, followed by Saif Ali Khan. Prabhas had wrapped his part on November 4. ## Directed by Tanhaji fame, Om Raut, "Adipurush" is an adaption of the Hindu epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the film while Kriti Sanon essays the role of Sita/Janaki. Saif Ali Khan, who played the antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore in Raut's Tanhaji, portrays Lankesh/Raavan in Adiupursh while Sunny Singh plays Laxman and Vatsal Sheth plays Indrajeet in the mega-budgeted film. ## "Adipurush" will be mounted on a heavy VFX, and as reported earlier, it will take nearly 10 months in post-production work. The good thing in favor of post-production is that the release date of Adipurush, which is set for 11 August 2022, is nearly 10 months from now, so it should be completely ready by then. ## It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-series and Retrophiles. Adipurush is being made in 3D and has been shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. Director Om Raut, after the huge success of Ajay Devgn starrer, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is busy helming the biggest film of his career, the magnum opus, Adipurush. Director Om Raut Reacts On Saif Ali Khan's Controversial Remark On Adipurush

Not so long ago, actor Saif Ali Khan sparked controversy for saying that his role of Raavan in the upcoming film Adipurush is humane and his character will "justify his abduction of Sita". However, the actor had to apologises later for his statements after people took offense.## This was not the first time when Saif found himself on the controversial side. He had landed in a similar fix back then when he declared Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, to be historically inaccurate. The actor played antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore in the movie. ## Now, the director of Adipurush and Tanhaji, Om Raut has reacted to Saif's remark and said that he would have preferred to not have drawn negative attention towards the film before its release.## "I think Saif sir has his own way of thinking. What he kind of meant and what comes out is maybe not always communicated well. That's one thing that we've come over... We're over it. I love Saif sir for the commitment he has for the subject, the type of reading that he has done. That's the Saif Ali Khan that we should know, and that's the Saif Ali Khan that's a page of Indian cinema", Om Raut told Rajeev Masand in an interview. ## In his interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif had said, "It"s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose". ## Talking about the film, Adipurush is an adaption of Ramayan in which Prabhas is playing lord Ram. Saif Ali Khan Clarifies and Apologises For His Controversial Statement on Adipurush

Saif Ali Khan, who is set to portray the character of 'Lankesh' in Om Raut's magnum opus, Adipurush, has landed in troubled water after his controversial statement of "justifying the abduction of Sita by Raavan" in a recent interview. ## In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif had opened up on playing Raavan in Prabhas starrer Adhipurush and said, "It's interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose".## His statement hurt the sentiments of a section of citizens and they demanded Saif's omission from the movie which will release in 2022. Mumbai BJP leader Ram Kadam criticized the actor for the same and had tweeted, "Actor #SaifAliKhan makes an extremely shocking statement regarding his forthcoming film Adipurush. Saif who plays Ravan's character says Ravan's abduction of Sita Maa will be justified in the film. Ravan's humane side will be shown and his war against Sri Ram will be justified". ## "Director @OmRaut director, you made #Tanhaji which was well received worldwide bcz it does justice to Hindu pride and Marathi asmita. But if #Adhipurush plans to show Ravan in positive light and justify the inhuman act of abduction of Sita Maa, we will never allow that to happen. Hope better sense prevails #JaiShriRam", he added. ## After found himself on the wrong side, Saif has now clarified and withdrawn his statement and has apologized for hurting the sentiments. He said that he never intended to hurt anyone as he himself idolize Lord Ram. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior director, Om Raut is working on his next magnum opus, Adipurush - an adaptation of the epic Ramayana. The filmmaker has reportedly finished the scripting of this big-scale mythological and now, working on finalizing the cast. ## While Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan had already been announced to play Ram and Lankesh respectively, the search for other important characters is also looking on the finishing line. Now, the makers have finalized Kriti Sanon to play the role of Sita while Sunny Singh to portray Laxman in Adipurush, as reported earlier. ## Sunny Singh who was last seen in Navjot Gulati's Jai Mummy Di last year has signed the film and started shooting. The actor is elated to have bagged such a massive project and is excited to share screen space with the superstar Prabhas as his aide and younger brother. ## For the role of Sita, earlier the names like Keerthy Suresh, Anushka Sharma, and Deepika Padukone had cropped up, but Kriti Sanon is brought on board to play Prabhu Ram's wife's role in this most awaited film. ## "After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, the makers have decided on Kriti.
