The film marks Vikram's return to the big screen after almost three years and he is looking to make it big by going all out with the promotion. ## The "Cobra" team promoted the film in Hyderabad for the Telugu version. Chennai, July 16 - Tamil star Vikram aka Chiyaan Vikram, who is waiting for the release of his long-awaited action thriller movie Cobra, has teamed up with director Pa. Ranjith for his next movie, tentatively titled Chiyaan 61. It marks Vikram's first collaboration with the director, who is known for the movies like "Kabali" (2016), "Kaala" (2018), and "Sarpatta Parambarai" (2021).## "Chiyaan 61" is touted to be a period action drama film and will reportedly be shot in 3D. Chiyaan Vikram's 'Cobra' To Release In May 2022

Chennai, March 6 - Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram is winning mixed to positive responses for his recently released action thriller film, "Mahaan", which debuted directly on Amazon Prime Video. The actor is now gearing up for the blockbuster summer with two new releases. ## The "Anniyan" actor will next be seen in the sci-fi action thriller, "Cobra", which marks former Indian cricket, Irfan Pathan's film debut. Directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, the movie features Chiyaan Vikram as a mathematician in close to 8 appearances. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studios, "Cobra" will be released on May 26th and it may have a theatrical debut unlike Vikram's "Mahaan". Director Gnanamuthu recently confirmed the release date but he didn't provide the release platform. The industry reports, however, are hinting at its theatrical release first. ## "Cobra" has been in production for a long time. It was originally scheduled for a release coinciding with the Eid Al-Fitr weekend, falling on 22 May 2020.
