'Brahmastra 2' To Be Ayan Mukerji's Next After 'War 2' And 'Dhoom 4'

Mumbai, May 7 — Bollywood filmmakers are shifting to the full franchise mode and lining up more sequels or threequels, which are becoming guaranteed box office winners. Amid several sequels already in the works, the latest reports suggest there are nearly half a dozen more films that are getting a franchise treatment. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2, Queen 2, and Kahani 3 are already in development, and now, the sequels to Luka Chuppi, Garam Masala, and Brahasmtra have also entered the writing stage. It is to be noted that the demand for all these sequels has been going on for some time now.## Among the aforementioned sequels, Brahmastra Part 2 - Dev was one of the first to be confirmed, and the report says that director Ayan Mukerji has started working on it, though he is currently directing War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, and is on the verge of wrapping it up. ## It is said that Mukerji has got on board a fresh set of writers for Brahmastra 2. Rajat Arora (Once Upon A Time in Mumbai & Kick) is working on the dialogues of Brahmastra 2, with another team working towards polishing the screenplay. ## The filming of this epic fantasy action-adventure sequel is expected to start in the second half of 2026 after Ayan wraps up his current commitments. It is said that apart from War 2, which releases on August 14 this year, the filmmaker will also direct Dhoom 4, which will reportedly feature Ranbir Kapoor, who also headlines the Brahmastra franchise. ## The casting of Brahmastra 2 is expected to begin after the script compilation, as it is not yet clear who will play the part of Dev and Amrita. Mumbai, August 21 - Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is teaming up with filmmaker Siddharth Anand for a big-scale action entertainer, to be directed by Milan Luthria. Anand will produce the movie with his wife Mamta Anand under their production company, Marflix.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Akshay and Siddharth have been discussing a film for a while now and things finally come to fruition. It is said that Anand has got together the director-writer duo of Milan Luthria and Rajat Arora to develop an action film set against the zone of a vigilante film. ## The report further stated that Akshay Kumar was the unanimous choice of Siddharth Anand, Milan Luthria and Rajat Arora when the script was locked and the actor also felt that this was the right film for him to associate with at this point. ## It will be Akshay's second film with director Milan Luthria after 2013's gangster movie, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara! However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the shooting couldn't begin and the project was put on the back burner for the time being. ## As Salman is gearing up for the release of his family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, he is also looking to finalize his next films for 2024, and in between, it was reported that his Kick 2 is being revived. ## Amid the rumors of Kick 2, a picture of Salman Khan with actress Rani Mukerji is going viral on social media. Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Action star Tiger Shroff recently updated his fans through his social media that he has started the last leg of 'Heropanti 2' schedule. ## Tiger took to his Instagram story to share the poster of the film as he wrote on the picture, "Time to suit up again for one last sched #heropanti2 #eid2022." ## The poster features Tiger in a John Wick - esque avatar as he aims guns from atop a sports car.
