Mumbai, Dec 31 (IANS) Actor Ranvir Shorey has been hounded by fellow guests at a hotel in which they were quarantined after he revealed his son Haroon's Covid test report on Twitter. ## The actor shared a string of tweets as a follow-up to his main tweet where he had shared his son's diagnosis. ## He tweeted: "As a result of my SM post, meant for the common good, we were almost hounded out of our hotel room, where we were quarantining, due to other guests pressurising the hotel about us staying here. Society's capacity for unscientific discrimination has been on full display." ## In the next tweet, he wrote: "People who wanted selfies until a day before were blackmailing the hotel for discounts and refunds, because we were in one of the rooms!" ## "Will always remember this experience. '420 IPC' director Manish Gupta unties the film's intricate knots

Mumbai, Dec 27 (IANS) Manish Gupta's crime film '420 IPC' starring Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Gul Panag which was released recently has been garnering a positive response for its narrative style-driven through the intricacies of the Indian Penal Code. ## Manish, whose credits include films like 'The Stoneman Murders' (writer and director), 'Sarkar' (writer) and 'Section 375' (writer), recently spoke with IANS and unraveled what went into the making of a film that explores the layers of courtroom proceedings in a financial fraud case. ## Explaining the germ of '420 IPC', he says, "I'd got the idea for '420 IPC' during the three years of extensive research that I'd carried out for my previous courtroom drama 'Section 375' during which I came across court procedures involved in economic offence cases - which I found to be an unexplored premise for a film." ## He adds, "Carrying out further research, I discovered that people with upper economic status and a high pedigree of intelligence and education are involved in economic crimes. So the court proceedings involve more brain work, thus lending a more cerebral premise for a film." ## Manish himself took the onus of the film's research as he says, "There was no research team. I carried out the research personally and singlehandedly by attending numerous court hearings and interviewing lawyers, court staff members, policemen, etc. I'd already done a heavy amount of research for 'Section 375', so I had a lot of basic research material already with me." ## Commenting on the value that his lead actors Vinay and Ranvir add to the film, he mentions, "Vinay and Ranvir infuse a lot of believability into the narrative. Both are brilliant actors which goes without saying but at the same time, both have the ability to absorb their characters so well that the viewer sees a real person, rather than an actor." ## Probe him if there were a lot of improvisations on the sets, he quips, "Not really, because my scripts are usually written with great clarity. In '420 IPC', as in all my films, since I was the director as well as the screenplay and dialogue writer, so while writing, I'd already directed the film on paper." ## Looking at his filmography, one can easily say that the filmmaker-writer has a knack for grey stories and characters. Explaining his fascination with grey shades, he furnishes the closing answer, "In reality, no person is completely good or bad. All human beings possess good and bad qualities, although to varying degrees. That's exactly what I depict in my films." ##

Lootcase Movie Public Review - Super-Hit!

In the series of the over-the-top (OTT) release, comedy-drama Lootcase premiered on Disney+Hotstar on 31st July 2020. There is nothing left for Sacred Games 3, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The highly acclaimed and one of the most popular Netflix series Sacred Games' third season seems out of the question. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was hailed for his role in the series and acquired a new level of fame says that there is nothing left in Vikram Chandra's novel that can be put in Season 3.## Speaking to a leading portal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, "Sacred Games got the kind of worldwide acclaim that none of us associated with the series had seen before. I remember shooting in Rome for Tannishta Chatterjee’s film and over there too there were so many people talking to me about Sacred Games. So we all felt it was right to do it again, and we did a second season".## Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui admits that the second season was a disappointment as the intentions behind it were not sincere. "Perhaps, somewhere the intention behind Season 2 was not as sincere as the first time. I admit Sacred Games 2 was a disappointment", he said. ## As for season 3, the actor said, "Whatever had to be said from the original novel has already been said. There is nothing left in Vikram Chandra’s novel to be put in Season 3".## When asked about his character in Sacred Games and the dialogues were very popular, the actor politely said the credit must go to writers who wrote the dialogues that became famous.## "I can't take credit for the popularity of the lines that I spoke. I didn't write them. In India, we often give credit to the actor for a popular line. In Yash Chopra Saab's Deewaar, Shashi Kapoor Saab spoke the line, 'Mere Paas Maa Hai'. But, it was Salim-Javed who wrote that line. So the credit must go to them", he added. ## Sacred Games is a crime mystery thriller series of which the second season was nominated for the International Emmy Award 2019 in the best drama category. Vidyut Jammwal and Kunal Kemmu expressed disappointment after being left out from Disney+Hotstar press conference

Termed as the mother of all the OTT announcements, today, the streaming giant Disney Plus Hotstar announced 7 movies which will be premiered on Disney+Hotstar between July and October. The Disney Plus Hotstar yesterday announced that it will held a virtual press conference on June 29 to make big announcements. ## In today's press conference, the leading stars of the films were in attendance including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Abhishek Bachchan. However, out of 7 movies, Vidyut Jammwal's Khuda Haafiz and Kunal Khemmu starrer Lootcase were also announced but both the actor were not invited in the press conference hosted by Varun Dhawan. ## After being left out by Disney+Hotstar, Vidyut Jammwal and Kunal Kemmu took to Twitter and expressed their disappointment over the decision. ## Vidyut Jammwal wrote on Twitter that "A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation.
