After a glorious 19-years of the period, former India player Yuvraj Singh bid goodbye to cricket and announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Monday (June 10). "It's was a great rollercoaster ride and beautiful story but it has to come to an end. It was the right time to go." Yuvraj Singh said while announcing his retirement in a press conference in Mumbai.## In nearly two decades of his career, the 37-year old played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is for India. Though he couldn't stretch his Test career for long he was the ultimate champion in ODIs and T20Is. His best effort came in World Cup 2011 at home where he was the man of the tournament in India's title triumph. He also played a vital role in 2007 T20I World Cup and helped India to win its inaugural edition.## Take a look at his international career - ## ODI ## There are not many players as gifted as Yuvraj Singh in the 50-overs format. According to former India player Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh is the best batsman in ODIs India have ever produced. His numbers in ODIs might not tell you about the whole story but the impact he had made him a different player in this format. He made his ODI debut in 2000 after impressing U-19 World Cup 2000 with 203 runs. In only just second ODI, he announced his arrival at the big stage with a sublime 80-ball 84 against Australia. He became an overnight hero after his knock of 63-ball 69 in the NatWest series final at the Lord's that made him a household name. Against Australia in the 2nd Semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2007, he hammered 30-ball 70 and helped India to post 188 from 54 for 2 in 9 overs. Morné Morkel Announce His Retirement From International Cricket

Morne Morkel finally breaks the shackles as he announced his retirement from international cricket. The 33-year old fast bowler took his decision in Durban on Monday(February 26). Morne has confirmed that he will be retiring from international cricket after Test series against Australia at home soil.## Morne Morkel's career has been eventful with lots of injuries. Since last August his future has been subjecting of speculation. In recent past, Morne had said that he might cut short his career if he was not provided assurance about his palace in world cup 2019, but coach Ottis Gibbson later said that he(Morne) was a part of his plans for the tournament. ## "it was an extremely tough decision but I feel the time is right to start a new chapter", Morne said," I have a young family and foreign wife, and the current demanding international schedule has put a lot of strain us. I have to put them(Family) first and this decision will only benefit us going forward," Morne said after announcing his retirement.## "Playing for the Proteas is something very special, but family comes first. My wife and my family were away for the weeks now for work commitments, which was very tricky for me. After sitting them down and discussing not with family, I decided-its better for me to start a new chapter with them and focus on family," ## Morne did not say much about his future plans but confirmed that he wanted to sustain his cricket career at a high level. ## " I still feel great mentally and physically, and yes, I will be playing in other leagues around the world," he said," out of respect to CSA I have not put pen to paper on any deal, my focus is 100% on winning this series(against Australia), I will make a decision once everything is done," ## like most of the other South Africans Morne Morkel too had a dream of winning World Cup for South Africa but now it will remain dream as he has taken his decision. ## Morne Morkel has played 83 Test Matches and took 294 wickets, he will have an opportunity to pass 300 Test wickets. In 117 ODIs he has claimed 188 wickets.
