Twitter Talk: Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Doctor G' Gets Thumbs Up Against Parineeti Chopra's 'Code Name: Tiranga'

Mumbai, October 14 - Ayushmann Khurrana's campus comedy-drama film Doctor G has been released in theaters today along with Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu's spy action thriller Code Name: Tiranga and a few other films. ## Going by the initial reaction from the movie-goers and critics, it seems "Doctor G" will be the first choice of the audience over the weekend along with the Kannada movie Kantara, of which the Hindi version has been released today after creating waves in Kannada. ## Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap in her directorial debut, "Doctor G" is being called hilarious while dealing with a complicated subject where Ayushmann plays a gynecologist. Social comedy-drama has always been Ayushmann's strong zone and it looks like he is back in that after a couple of missed opportunities. ## Apart from Ayushmann, the performances of Rakul Preet Sigh, Shefali Shah, and Sheeba Chaddha are getting big recognition. The direction of the movie is also being praised. The only debatable point of the movie, as per the critics' talks, is the second half where the plot of the movie gets off-track, but overall, the film is getting a very good reception. ## "Code Name: Tiranga", directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, is a spy action thriller but the initial response is average to the movie. The movie had created a decent buzz through teaser/trailer, but the critics are calling it a failed attampt in this genre. The performence Parineeti Chopra along with other actors is praiseworthy but the direction by Ribhu Dasgupta is being criticised. The movie is being called a low to average affair, which might make it tough for it going forward. ## On other other hand, "Kantara" Hindi has recieved super positive reviews from critics and it will give a tough fight to "Doctor G", and other movies. Lady Superstar Nayanthara To Make Her Hindi And OTT Debut With Netflix Show, Bahubali: Before The Beginning!

Mumbai, July 16, 2021: Netflix is reviving its ambitious show, Baahubali: Before The Beginning after scrapping it despite the 70% of the shoot completed. The show was earlier being directed by South Indian filmmakers Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru and shot with Mrunal Thakur as young Sivagami. However, things didn't turn out the way it was visualized. It led Netflix to scrap the entire shoot and later it decided that it will be reshot with a fresh cast and director. ## Based on Anand Neelakantan's novel The Rise of Sivagami, the streamer has roped in Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi to play the role of Sivagami. The show is currently under the pre-production stage and Wamiqa will start shooting by September or October this year. ## And now, as per the latest development, Netflix has got in the lady superstar of the South Indian cinema, Nayanthara to play a pivotal role in the series. Nayanthara's character in the series is yet to be known. The show will mark the versatile actress's Hindi as well as digital debut. ## Touted as the most expensive Indian series coming out from Netflix, Bahubali: Before The Beginning is reportadly divided into two parts. The show is the prequel to SS Rajamouli's magnum opus blockbuster franchise Bahubali starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and Sathyaraj among others.## Baahubali: Before the Beginning is said to have seen the potential of being India's answer to Game of Thrones. Netflix Begins Pre-Production Work On Its Ambitious Rs. 200 Crores Budget Series - Baahubali Before The Beginning

Mumbai, July 2, 2021: SS Rajamouli's Baahubali film series was so successful that it inspired streaming giant Netflix to make a prequel to Baahubali - The Beginning (2015). Titled Baahubali: Before the Beginning, the Telugu languages web series is based on Anand Neelakantan's 2017 and 2020 novels The Rise of Sivagami, Chaturanga, and Queen of Mahishmathi. ## Earlier, the series was being directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru, however, Netflix reportadly scrapped the project after 80 percent of the shoot got completed as they weren't impressed with the content. The series, which follows the journey of Sivagami's rise to power in the Mahishmati kingdom, has now been re-worked with a new team. ## As per the latest development, Netflix has started pre-production work on Baahubali Before The Beginning. Jannat fame Kunal Deshmukh and The Girl On the Train fame Ribhu Dasgupta are said to be on board to direct the series. ## Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi, who has also featured in the Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam language films, will be playing the lead role of Sivagami in this periodic, replacing Mruanl Thakur. The entire script work of Baahubali Before The Beginning is completed and the shooting commences from September. Reliance Entertainment Partners With Filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta To Form Film Hangar, A Joint Venture To Produce Films

Reliance Entertainment has collaborated with filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta to form a joint venture company to produce clutter-breaking content, named "Film Hangar". Sohum Shah: I believe our industry will survive this phase

Mumbai, April 5 (IANS) National Award-winning actor-producer Sohum Shah believes the Indian film industry will survive the phase of COVID-19 lockdown, just as it has survived many theats in the past.## "I am concerned and worried about the daily wage workers. We are doing whatever we can to help them. The producers' guild has started a relief fund to offer some aid. Our industry has always faced a lot of threat. There's piracy and there were years when the box office business went down due to big budget Hollywood films, yet we survived those phases. I strongly believe that our industry will survive this as well and will be back on track as soon as the lockdown ends," said Sohum, best known for the 2018 period horror drama "Tumbbad", which he acted in and co-produced.## He continued: "The only thing that concerns me right now is when will this global pandemic end? I pray to God that our doctors and scientists can find a cure to fight this disease, so that we can get back with our lives".## The relief fund that many stars have extended to daily wage workers will take care of those who are members of some association or are registered workers. But Bollywood is full of strugglers and out-of-work people who do not belong to these groups. What about them?## "My message to all the struggling actors is they should utilise the time. There are lots of good films and series on various OTT platforms that you can watch, read good books, do exercise and meditation and don't get depressed. There's a lot that you can do at these moment that will help you in the future. The most important thing is not to get depressed since you can't go out and give auditions. Still, you can do a lot at the same time," he said.## Sohum Shah was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-produced web series "Bard Of Blood", a fictional spy thriller on the 2015 espionage novel of the same name by Bilal Siddiqi. Helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the series received lukewarm response.## Commenting about dealing with success and failure, the actor said: "It is difficult to deal with success as well as failure. As a matter of fact, I feel it is more difficult to deal with success because people face a lot of failure in their day-to-day lives in one way or another and the best way to deal with it is to keep moving on without stopping."## He added: "Don't try too hard to think about your failures or controlling it, just keep doing your work with honesty every day and one day you will reach your goal. I feel that's the only way to deal with failure. Success on the other can be temporary and you should always remind yourself about it.
