Naatu Naatu Song Sees Massive Increase On US Spotify Streams After Historic Oscar Win

Los Angeles, March 14 - The 95th Academy Awards has been etched forever in the hearts of Indian and Indian film lovers across the globe. And now, opening about the backlash these stars facing, actor Suniel Shetty said that it has hurt him that people are talking such things about him. ## "The narrative of me being against the farmers is b***sh*t. It hurt me when they said that 'he is against farmers'. If I could, I would probably catch each and every one of them. There are a lot of emotions. I want to tell them that we are talking about our country, home, our families", said the actor to IANS. ## "My forefathers were farmers, I come from a small town called Mulki in Mangalore that I visit four times a year even today, and 70 percent of it is a farm. Secondly, I am an Indian. It has always been like that and my films say that. People say that you thrash other countries. It doesn't matter to me as long as my India is fine. That's who I am", he added. ## As soon as Suniel and other public figures posted about the farmers' protest, many theories started doing rounds on social media. Some people called their response influenced by political outfits. Responding to that, Shetty said that he said what he believes and it wasn't affiliated with any political party. ## "I am a proud Mumbaikar and I am proud of the fact that my Chief Minister and others have handled the pandemic well. What matters to me is that people are doing good. I have campaigned for friends who are from various political parties but I have campaigned for people. I have not campaigned for a party. I never take party names. I campaigned for individuals. I believe, right now India is at the threshold of getting back to normalcy and I stick to that", he said.## "I am an actor. Akshay Kumar is the only Indian to be included in the Forbes list of top 100 highest-paid celebrities

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has found himself only Indian to make a cut in the Forbes list of the top 100 highest-paid celebrities on the year 2020. With estimated pre-tax earnings of USD 48.5 million (approx Rs 366 crore) from June 2019 to May 2020, Akshay Kumar found himself at the 52nd position. ## American media personality and businesswoman Kylie Jenner topped the list with estimated earnings of USD 590 million (Rs 4,453 crore) in the same period. ## Talking about Akshay Kumar, he, however, slipped 19 positions from his last year's ranking of 33 in the top 100 celebrity list. Last year his earnings were USD 65 million. Coronavirus has impacted on his earnings. ## Forbes report suggests that one of the big reasons for Akshay being on the list of highest-paid celebrities this year is his collaboration with streaming giant Amazon Prime Video with the actor makes his digital debut with the multi-season series The End.
