Hyderabad, June 16 - Director Rohit Shetty and Bollywood star Ajay Devgn are one of the most successful combos of Indian cinema. The duo has worked together in 13 films and is all set for their 14th collaboration next year. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Shetty and Devgn will next team up for Golmaal 5, which has been in the pipeline for a long time. The director is currently shooting for the Rakesh Maria biopic with John Abraham, which is expected to be wrapped by September this year. ## Shetty is aiming to lock the final edit of the biopic by the end of this year for an early 2026 release, before taking Golmaal 5 on the floors by February/March 2026. It is said that the basic plot of G5 is locked, and the work on writing the screenplay is already underway. ## "A fresh set of writers are working on the script of Golmaal FIVE, which is expected to be locked by September 2025, notwithstanding the dialogues and polishing work", says the report. Mumbai, February 1 - Director Rohit Shetty has had mixed results post the COVID-19 pandemic. While his Sooryavanshi was a box-office success, Cirkus turned into a massive disaster and Singham Again, which was released on Diwali last year, didn't live up to the high expectations despite grossing over 350 crores worldwide. ## The maverick filmmaker has now reportedly decided to take a break from his blockbuster cop universe and is likely to direct a standalone action thriller film next with Bollywood star John Abraham other than comedy entertainer Golmaal 5 for which the script has reportedly been locked.## According to the report by Mid-Day, Shetty began developing the script for a standalone action thriller after the release of Singham Again and a few preliminary meetings with John have already taken place. The report states that if things go as planned, the movie might go on floors by April this year and a final call will be taken by March. ## If the project materializes, it would be Shetty and John's first collaboration. The duo has reportedly discussed the dates as Shetty plans to shoot for the movie in Mumbai in a straight schedule over 45 days this summer, after which, the director will shoot for the TV reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. ## John Abraham, meanwhile, will next be seen in a thriller film, The Diplomat which said is based on true events. However, it was Kartik Aaryan's horror comedy that rocked the show and won the clash with a superb collection in India and worldwide. SA though wasn't too far and did reasonably well at the box office.## Even after 4 weeks of release, both films doing well on a day-wise basis at the domestic box office, and thanks to that, their combined net collection has topped 500 crores making it the biggest Diwali ever at the Indian box office. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has emerged as a super hit and through the 5th Saturday (30th day), it has minted approximately 255+ crores net collection. BB3, which legged behind by approximately 15 crores net to Singham Again after the 1st week, has reduced that gap to just 4 after the following week. ## The Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy has minted approximately 58 crores net in the second week, pushing the total collection to around 217 crores after 14 days. Mumbai, November 10 - Director Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn surpassed the 200 crores net mark after a decent second weekend domestically with around 34 crores net collection, dropping 70% from the first weekend. ## According to the early estimates, the movie scored 13-13.50 crores net collection on its second Sunday, dropping around 60% from the first Sunday and a jump of approximately 10% from the previous day. This pushes the total collection of the film to around 206.50 crores net in 10 days. ## Singham 3 needs to hold well in the coming day to go past 250 crores net mark which will be a good result for the movie that got mixed word of mouth and clashed with a biggie like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is performing superbly. ## The Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has a good second weekend with around 41 crores net collection (-61% from the first weekend) after an estimated 16-17 crores net collection on the second Sunday. Mumbai, November 8 - The 2 Bollywood Diwali tentpoles, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have had a very good first week at the box office as both the films combined delivered 500 crores gross collection worldwide, making it one of the biggest for Bollywood films. ## Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham 3 scored the second biggest first week for a Bollywood movie of 2024. At the domestic box office, the movie minted approximately 207 crores gross (173 crores net) while the overseas collection is an estimated 53 crores for a worldwide cume of 260 crores approx. ## On a larger note, Singham Again proved to be the biggest first-week grosser for Ajay Devgn as well as for director Rohit Shetty. The movie received mixed talks and clashed with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and despite that, it faired well. It will be topping 300 crores worldwide in the second weekend. ## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, on the other hand, is easily the winner of the clash after the first week.
