Nepotism should not be practiced in a way that some people are pushed to death: Roopa Ganguly

BJP MP and senior actor Roopa Ganguly said that after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, she will boycott the movies of a certain group of people who have been blatantly practicing nepotism in the film industry.## Speaking to IANS, she said, "I will not watch films of certain people after this. Because they have given a message to the country that boys and girls from small towns should not come to the industry. Nepotism will be there everywhere. Parents can definitely help their children. But it should not be practiced in a way so that some people are pushed to death".## While a debate has already been sparked over nepotism, some people including Roopa Ganguly are not happy with the way things are going on in the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation. Roopa Ganguly raised questions on Mumbai Police who is investigating Sushant's death. She also hinted that Sushant might have murdered. ## "Without getting a suicide note, or any stool/chair or anything in the room with which he can hang himself, the police came to the conclusion (that it was suicide). Instead of calling it an accidental death, the police make a statement that it is suicide. The narrative was set a few days ago that he was going through depression. That has raised a big question in our minds. Without a suicide note, how did police call it a suicide even before the postmortem?", she said.## "A lot of questions have been answered but they don’t add up. Why did the forensic team reach his house on June 15? The police said there was no foul play. The forensic team reaching a day late and that raises a big question. Why were there so many marks on his body? That he hanged from the ceiling has no impact on his face as we can see in his last pictures. Why have the police not sealed his house yet? Where is his dog?".## "Is it not possible that he was murdered? Is it not possible that someone murdered him, locked his body inside the bedroom and said the keys were lost? Why has nobody been arrested yet? The police couldn’t prove it is a suicide", alleges the actress-politician.## Roopa Ganguly also said that she is not doubting the capabilities of Mumbai Police but a CBI enquiry would be more unbiased. ## "I am not raising questions on Mumbai Police’s capability, but I feel investigation by a central agency like the CBI would be more unbiased. Why should the police department consider it as an insult to take help from other agencies? If they are so sure that it is suicide then they should actually call the CBI to prove it to us".## FYI, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. The actor’s postmortem report described his death as a suicide. ## Stay tuned...

Sushant Singh Rajput fans demand CBI enquiry, trend #BreakTheSilenceForSushant on Twitter

It has been nearly three weeks since Sushant Singh Rajput claimed his life by hanging in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. Considering its a suspicious suicide, Mumbai police has been investigating his death and probing Sushant's colleagues in the industry and recording their statement. ## On the other hand, late actor's fans are not happy with the way things are going as they believe his death did not happen by suicide, hence, his fans are demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the actor’s death.## The hashtag #BreakTheSilenceForSushant has been trending throughout the Friday on Twitter. Here are some of the tweets regarding the trend. ## "So many things are proving that it is a murder. Mumbai police needs to understand that he didn't deserve this kind of death. He wanted to live. Please guys RAISE YOUR VOICE !!!", a user tweeted.## "Why is the media silent? Why Bollywood silent? Why politicians silent? Why police desperate to close the case? Let justice be done to Sushant s soul Culprits got to be punished #BreakTheSilenceForSushant #CBIMustSushant", tweeted another user questioning the legal process.## "There's enough proof this was a murder. Please @narendramodi @PMOIndia there's a killer on the loose. This is a serious issue. No one helping us, especially the police, is only insisting that bigger names are involved. #CBIMustForSushant #BreakTheSilenceForSushant #cbiforshushant", urged a user.## "True, depressed cant be creative, in recent insta posts also Sushant was learning coding. If Rhea found, he was depressed y didn't she inform 2 his family but left him. Does any lover in this world does so Where we leave our loved ones to suffer alone? #BreakTheSilenceForSushant", voices another user.## "Yes, I am broken. Yes, I am hiding of not crying. Yes, I feel voidness inside me, because HE left. But, my fire WITHIN is turned into VOLCANO. I demand JUSTICE for @itsSSR. I demand to #BreakTheSilenceForSushant @PMOIndia", tweeted another user.## There are a lot of tweets regarding the trend are floating on social media. While fans are continuously raising their voices in this matter, some of the people from Bollywood have also supported the demand for CBI enquiry. BJP MP and senior actor, Roopa Ganguly was one of the first to ask for the CBI enquiry in Sushant's death. ## However, it is also important to know that the postmortem reports have clearly indicated that it was a suicide nothing else. Mumbai police, however, figuring out what were the reasons that forced Sushant to take such a decision. ## Stay tuned...

Prasar Bharti in talks to re-telecast Ramayan, Mahabharat

New Delhi, March 25 (IANS) Prasar Bharti is in talks to work out a deal with the rights holders of the epic teleserial "Ramayan" and "Mahabharat", to re-telecast these shows once again during the 21-day nationwide lockdown by popular demand.## Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar conveyed as much on Twitter in response to a tweet by Akhilesh Sharma, the political editor at NDTV India.## "Yes, we are working on the same with the Rights Holders. They still can," tweeted a user identified as @pranasutra, reports the print.in.## Others said that these mythological shows would help reduce stress at a time when normal life had become paralyzed owing to the lockdown.## Some suggested back-to-back telecasts of the serials, to enable a binge-watching sort of mood.## Ramanand Sagar's "Ramayan" starred Arun Govil as Ram and Deepika Chikhalia as Sita, with Arvind Trivedi playing Raavan and Dara Singh essaying Hanuman. The series originally ran from 25 January 1987 to 31 July 1988.## BR Chopra's "Mahabharat" featured Nitish Bhardwaj as Krishna and Roopa Ganguly as Draupadi, with Gajendra Chauhan, Praveen Kumar, Arjun, Sameer Chitre and Sanjeev Chitre as the Pandavas, and Punit Issar playing Duryodhana.
