Suriya 44 Gets Official Title Teaser; Confirmed For Summer 2025 Release

Chennai, December 25 - Tamil star Suriya has teamed up with director Karthik Subbaraj for an action drama film centred around a love story. It is the 44th film of Suriya and on Wednesday, the makers announced its official title as Retro with the teaser.## The teaser reveals Suriya as a Southern Tamil Nadu native with a gang mafia as a family business while Pooja Hegde plays his love interest. It shows Suriya's character attempting to reform himself for the sake of love as he promises to his lover to give up anger, and violence. ## The film is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment in association with Stone Bench Films and Shakti Film Factory. Retro, which also stars Jayaram, Nasser, Joju George, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, and Karunakaran, among others is confirmed for the Summer of 2025 big screen debut in multiple languages.## The music of the film is done by Santhosh Narayanan while Shreyaas Krishna is the cinematographer. 'Kalki 2898 AD' Sets IMAX Release

Hyderabad, June 6 - Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has been confirmed to release in the IMAX North America and the UK. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. ## Kalki 2898 AD will be distributed by Prathyangira Cinemas in the USA and Canada. The studio confirmed that the movie will be released in IMAX format across the USA (Telugu version) and Canada (Hindi version) for premieres and one show on Day 1. ## The movie has also been confirmed to be released in India and worldwide on IMAX as the official confirmation regarding the same was made on June 11 by IMAX. It will also be released in 3D, apart from 2D format. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film's music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. After Vadivelu, 'Naai Sekar Returns' director tests positive for Covid

Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) Days after actor Vadivelu tested positive for Covid-19, his film's director Suraj, too, has been admitted to a private hospital here for the same reason. ## Suraj had accompanied Vadivelu to London along with a few other core members of the 'Naai Sekar Returns' film unit. The others included music director Santhosh Narayanan. ## The team was in London to score the music for the much-awaited film, which will mark the return of Vadivelu to the big screen. ## On the team's return from London, Vadivelu was screened at Chennai airport, where he tested positive for the virus. Nani & Keerthy Suresh Reunite After Nenu Local In Dasara

Hyderabad, October 15 - Natural star Nani's next film with debutante director Srikanth Odela is titled "Dasara". The movie reunites Nani with actress Keerthy Suresh for the first time after Nenu Local (2017). ## On the occasion of Dussehra (October 15), the makers released the first look glimpse of Nani and Keerthy Suresh along with the title announcement. The glimpse shows the rustic getups of Nani and Keerthy Suresh and it looks very promising. Dasara will portray Nani in a never-seen-before role as shown in the glimpse. ## According to reports, Nani plays a rural guy in this intense action drama set in Telangana. The actor's dialogue delivery is also promising a mass-oriented film. He seems to have mastered Telangana slang as he delivered the dialogues with ease. The glimpse also shows Nani's rugged look with a feral beard and his face look revealed through the smoke of the train.## Music director Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music of the film while Sathyan Sooryan ISC is the cinematographer and Navin Nooli is the editor. Dhanush: I Always Ask Karthik Subbaraj To Make A Sequel To Jagame Thandhiram

Chennai, June 8, 2021: Tamil superstar currently in the US where he has been shooting for the Russo Brothers' Netflix movie, The Gray Man. The actor will return to Chennai in the next couple of weeks as he has shot his portion of the Netflix original, co-starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Julia Butters, among others. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his Tamil film, Jagame Thandhiram. The gangster drama was supposed to be released in theaters, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, producer S. Sashikanth sold the streaming rights to Netflix for a direct-to-digital release, which is scheduled for June 18 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. ## The audio of Jagame Thandhiram was launched on June 7. On this special occasion, Dhanush, director Karthik Subbaraj, composer Santhosh Narayanan along with the singers and lyricists took part in a Space session on Twitter. Dhanush joined the conversation from the US. ## The actor, who has been waiting for the release of Jagame Thandhiram for a long time, said in a Space session that he is disappointed as the film could have released in better circumstances in theaters but feeling okay that the film is releasing on Netflix to reach a wider audience. ## Dhanush will be playing the role of a gangster named Suruli who takes on a London-based gangster named Peter Sprott, played by James Cosmo. Speaking about his character, Dhanush said, "I love the character so much that I always ask Karthik Subbaraj to make a sequel.
