Blockbuster 'Ved' Scored Biggest Second Sunday Of All-Time For A Marathi Film

Mumbai, January 9 - Actor-filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh's directorial debut, Marathi film Ved is having a historical run at the box office. The romantic-drama film is a remake of the 2019 Telugu-language film, "Majili", which starred Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. ## "Ved" was released on December 30, 2022, and took one of the biggest openings ever for a Marathi film with 2.25 crores net. It went on to register an excellent opening weekend of 10 crores net before finishing the first week with 20.67 crores. ## Produced by Genelia D'Souza under the banner of Mumbai Film Company, "Ved" was in full flow in the second weekend and scored 10.75 crores net. It netted 5.70 crores on its second Sunday, which is the biggest ever second Sunday of all time in Marathi cinema, beating blockbuster "Sairat" which scored approx. 4.60 crores net. ## Starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza as a lead pair, "Ved" is currently among the top 10 highest-grossing Marathi films and is expected to finish in the top 3 by the end of its lifetime box office run.## Stay tuned...

'Sairat' Helmer Nagraj Manjule To Direct 'Matka King' Based On Gambler Ratan Khatri

'Sairat' star Rinku Rajguru's Hindi debut in web series 'Hundred'

Mumbai, April 20 (IANS) "Sairat" actress Rinku Rajguru is set to enter the Hindi film industry with the digital web series "Hundred".## In the show, she will play a character named Netra Patil, and her role is said to have action as well as the comic strains.## " 'Hundred' is my first ever digital show and it's been a great experience working.
