Box Office: NBK's 'Akhanda' Roared Past Rs. 100 Crores Worldwide Gross
Hyderabad, December 13 - Telugu movie "Akhanda" has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. After putting on a thundering show at the box office, the action thriller has crossed Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross and has become NBK's first film to achieve the feet. ## Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" already became the highest opening week grosser for NBK, earning Rs. 67.55 crores net in the extended 8-day week. The strong word of mouth helped it to maintain the pace throughout the second weekend for Rs. 9.15 crores. With total worldwide gross collection stands at Rs. 101.50 crores, including the staggering India gross of 89 crores, the movie has turned out to be a hugely profitable venture for the distributors, with an AP/TG share of 52.07 crores. ## The film is a huge blockbuster for its investors in Nizam and other areas. In Nizam alone, it fetched Rs. 17.42 crores gross over 11 days, followed by Ceded with Rs. 13.27 crores. The overseas breakeven was done in 2 days itself, with rights sold at ₹2.5 crores. ## Check - AP/TG Detailed Box Office## Produced by Dwaraka Creations, the movie should be able to earn around 14-15 crores over the second week before Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" arrives on December 17 and take most of the screens. "Akhanda", however, remains to see if it crosses Rs. 100 crores gross in India alone, which will be a massive result. ## A sequel to Akhanda is already in consideration.
