'Dhadak 2' Gets A New Release Date

Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Mumbai, October 14 - Dharma Productions' love story drama Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri has reportedly been postponed to the next year. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the movie is a spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018), starring Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. ## Dhadak 2, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal (2018), was announced on November 22, 2024, release. According to Bollywood Hungama, it has now been postponed and the producers are looking at releasing the film on February 21, 2025.## Subject to the official announcement, Dhadak 2 will clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 which is already confirmed for February 21, 2025, release. Tripti Dimri's birthday falls on February 23, so it will be a birthday treat if the movie is officially confirmed for a February 21 release.## The original movie, Pariyerum Perumal follows a law student from a lower caste who begins a friendship with his classmate, a girl who belongs to a higher caste, and the men in her family start giving him trouble over this. Dharma Productions Announces 'Dhadak 2'; Sets Official Release Date

Mumbai, May 27 - Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has teamed up with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures to announce the sequel of 2018's romantic thriller Dhadak. Directed by Shazia Iqbal in her directorial debut, Dhadak stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the leading roles. ## The official announcement of the movie was made on May 27 with a video which shows that Dhadak 2 is a story about a boy and a girl who fall in love but due to the difference their cast, they have to fight the society to love together. ## The makers have also confirmed that Dhadak 2 will be hitting theaters on November 22, 2024. ## कैसे मिलेंगे - आग और पानी? An A-list actor will reportedly play the role of a villain. ## The first Dhadak movie was released in 2018 and it marked Bollywood debut of actress Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. Mumbai, April 17 - A sequel to Dharma Productions' hit romantic film Dhadak is reportedly in the works with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead. It will be directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, who has been working as a Production Designer for thirteen years in the Indian Film & Advertising Industry. ## Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Dhadak", which was a remake of the Marathi movie "Sairat", was released in 2018 and marked the debut of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film did very well at the box office, grossing over 100 crores worldwide against a budget of approx. 30 crores. ## According to Pinkvilla, Karan Johar wants to turn "Dhadak" into a proper intense romantic franchise in which two protagonists fight society to live together as the filmmaker believes that this zone of going against all odds for love has the potential to get a franchise value.## The report further adds that after contemplating on several subjects, Karan Johar has greenlit a subject that qualifies to be a sequel to Dhadak and has roped in two very talented youngsters to headline Dhadak 2.
