Box Office: 'Khaleja' Re-Release Scores Double-Digit Opening Weekend Worldwide

Mumbai, June 2 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja has exceeded expectations in its opening weekend and has become the highest as well as the first double-digit Telugu re-release grosser at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja was re-released on May 30 amid the huge hype, and it scored the third biggest opening for a South Indian re-release film with approximately 6.75 crores gross. The movie scored good hold on the second day to earn around 2 crore gross, followed by around 1.50 crore gross on Sunday. ## Khaleja grossed approximately 10.25 crores in its opening weekend worldwide, including around 9 crores gross in India and 1.25 crores overseas. With this, it has become the first double-digit Telugu and third South India re-release grosser. ## The movie was re-released without any special occasion, and yet, it scored an excellent collection worldwide. Apart from being the first double-digit grosser, it also became the first Indian re-release title to gross $100K at the North American box office. ## The movie also stars Anushka Shetty as the female lead, alongside Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Shafi, Sunil, Ali, and Subbaraju in supporting roles. Hyderabad, May 31 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's Khaleja has scored an excellent opening at the worldwide box office upon its re-release on May 30. After scoring one of the biggest advances for an Indian re-release title, the movie exceeded expectations on the first day. ## The fantasy action comedy film clocked over 3 crore pre-sales for the opening day in India, and with a fantastic response on spot booking, the film scored approximately 5.75 crores gross domestically on the first day. Overseas, the cult classic grossed around 1 crore, for a worldwide start of approximately 6.75 crores. ## Among the Indian re-release titles, Khaleja scored the third biggest opening worldwide, after Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli (7.75 crore) and Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh (7+ crore). Hyderabad, May 30 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's cult classic Khaleja re-release is all set to take an excellent opening at the worldwide box office after scoring one of the best pre-sales for an Indian movie. The movie is set to hit the big screen on May 30. ## Originally released in 2010, the fantasy action comedy has been remastered in 4K for its re-release, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Mahesh Babu's 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' Tentetive OTT Release Date Revealed

Hyderabad, May 26 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh-starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata is doing very well at the box office as it nears 200 crores gross worldwide. Despite mixed reviews, the movie has managed to sail through and is very close to earning hit status. ## Directed by Parasuram Petla, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, according to reports will stream on Amazon Prime Video after completing its theatrical run. According to the latest reports, the film will be released on Prime Video either on June 10 or June 24. However, neither Prime Video nor the creators have made any announcements regarding the OTT premiere yet. ## SVP is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment, and 14 Reels Plus. The film was released on May 12th and took a fantastic opening of 55+ crores gross at the domestic box office. It remained solid through the weekend followed by the weekdays to conclude the opening week on a good note. So far it has grossed approx. 190 crores worldwide. ## Apart from the lead pair Babu and Keerthy, the movie also stars Samuthirakani, Nadiya, Subbaraju, Brahmaji, and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles.
