Mumbai, July 13 - IMDb, an online database of information related to the entertainment industry, has unveiled the list of the top 10 most popular Indian movies in the first half of 2023, and the list is topped by superstar Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster Pathaan.## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" was released in January and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time with a worldwide gross collection of around 1050 crores. It was hugely hyped and has been the most loved Indian movie of the year, as far as the page views are concerned on IMDb. ## Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which grossed an underwhelming around 185 crores at the worldwide box office, is the second most popular Indian movie of the year so far. Mumbai, June 26 - Director Sudipto Sen and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who recently scored one of the biggest blockbusters of all-time in the form of "The Kerala Story", have reunited for a new film, titled "Bastar". ## The makers announced that "Bastar" is based on true events. The movie is about a terrorist attack in which 76 CRPF Jawans and 8 poor villagers were killed in Chintalner village of Dantewada District of Bastar, Chhattisgarh in April 2010. ## The film's poster featured a forest in the middle of huge and ominous clouds of smoke after gunshots and a red flag. The movie has been in controversy since its release due to its subject but that couldn't stop it from scoring big numbers at the box office. ## The Kerala Story falls in similar lines as Vivek Agnihotri's last year's blockbuster The Kashmir Files. TKF, which took the opening of just 3.55 crores net, ended up as one of the biggest grosser of 2022 with over 250 crores net collection. ## Unlike TKF, The Kerala Story had a much bigger opening of 8.03 crores net, however, it is most likely to finish below TKF's final total. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time.
