Salman Khan's Classic Film 'Tere Naam' Completes 19 Years
Mumbai, August 15 - There are many movies released on the occasion of Independence days over the years and many of them have been huge hits one such example is Sholay. But there is one movie, called Tere Naam which didn't manage to earn much in theatres but ended up having cult status over the years.## Today (August 15), Tere Naam completes 19 years of its release and the craze this movie has is beyond words. The super hit music and the charisma of Salman khan severed as factors that helped the movie to secure an excellent opening but unfortunately didn't go on to repeat the same pace it had on day 1, as a result of which it didn't live up to its full potential. The main reason why this happened is assumed to be its weak second half. However, the movie became a brilliant success in many places and even completed its Silver Jubilee. ## Tere Naam did the majority of its business from the rural areas and emerged as a success, these were the same regions that helped Salman Khan become the Popular Star he is today. Salman Khan's hairstyle, dress, and music in this movie went on to have a huge craze among the youngsters.## Tere Naam is considered one of the best movies in terms of impact on Salman Khan's filmography. His character Radhe Mohan in Tere Naam is still iconic even today. Recently Kabir Singh's character played by Shahid Kapoor in the movie Kabir Singh was compared to Radhe Mohan pointing out the similarities between the two.## Unique thing is that Tere Naam created more impact on CD cassettes and Televisions than in theatres.## Stay tuned...
