Disney+Hotstar Announces A Hotstar Specials Magnum Opus Period Adventure Drama Series, The Empire

Mumbai, July 9, 2021: Touted to be India's biggest show ever, Disney+Hotstar announces the magnum opus, a period adventure drama Series, The Empire. The Hotstar Specials series, created by Nikkhil Advani, is described as a monumental period adventure drama tracing the origins of a dynasty. ## Directed by Mitakshara Kumar, the series is based on the novel Empire of the Moghul by Alex Rutherford. The show will follow the life story of a warrior, adventurer, survivor, and accidental king. Being made on a huge budget, the series promises a magnificent visual spectacle mounted on a scale not seen in the digital realm before. ## Nikkhil Advani will serve as a showrunner on the project. His wife Monisha Advani will produce along with Madhu Bhojwani through their banner Emmay Entertainment.
