Akshay Kumar's Amazon Prime Video Series 'The End' Delayed Again

Mumbai, March 11 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was supposed to commence the shooting for his Amazon Prime Video series "The End" this year, but it seems the series is getting delayed further. ## Prime Video has announced "The End" with Akshay in 2019, during an event in Mumbai. But, before it could go on floors, the coronavirus pandemic hit the country and it was delayed indefinitely. Last year, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the co-producer of the series, said in an interview that it would go on floors by early 2022. ## However, with development yet, Akshay Kumar has now said that it is delayed to the next year as the makers are not happy with the screenplay. "We were going to start this year but we were not satisfied with the screenplay. Amazon was not satisfied, so we are still working on it and if everything goes well, we should start by next year's beginning", said Akshay during the media interaction.## Meanwhile, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming romantic action comedy film, "Bachchhan Paandey", which is slated to release in theaters on March 18. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi in key roles. Directed by Farhad Samji, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Bachchan Paadney" is getting excellent response all around for the songs and promos. ## Apart from "Bachchan Pandey", the "Bell Bottom" actor has 4 more releases this year, including "Prithviraj", "Raksha Bandhan", "Ram Setu", and "Cinderella". While the first three movies will be released in theaters, "Cinderella", which is the remake of the Tamil movie "Ratsasan", is rumored to be releasing directly on Disney+Hotstar, later this year. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, June 17, 2021: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will soon be making his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video's thriller series, titled "The End". The show was announced many moons back but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the production was delayed. But now, things are finally falling in place as makers are set to roll out the series soon. ## Producer Vikram Malhotra said on Wednesday (June 16) that the production of the Akshay Kumar starrer show will start either towards the end of the year or early 2022. The producer was speaking during a special event of Vidya Balan starrer "Sherni", backed by Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment, that his team is currently working on several series with Prime Video, including "The End". ## Malhotra's banner had previously produced the thriller series "Breathe" and its second season. ## "Apart from Breathe, there are other series in development like 'Hush Hush', which is in the middle of the production. We had to pause it because of the pandemic. There's a show called 'The End', featuring Akshay Kumar. It is set to start later this year or early next year, depending on how the situation is", Malhotra told reporters.## "The End" is said to be a survival thriller set in the future. Whereas "Hush Hush" is a thriller drama, led by an all-female cast, including actors Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, Karishma Tanna, and Ayesha Jhulka.## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has several projects in the pipeline. He is the busiest actor in the industry at the moment. His Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom are ready to release while Atrangi Re and Prithviraj are also completed the production. Akshay also has Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu, and Raksha Bandhan currently under production.
