Mumbai, August 8, 2021: India finished Tokyo Olympics 2020 with a best-ever haul of 7 medals after javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra's historic gold medal win. Chopra, who is also a Subedar in the Indian Army, created history and becomes the first-ever Olympic athletics gold medalist for India. He is also the only second individual after Abhinav Bindra to win a gold medal at the Olympic games. ## It was Neeraj Chopra's debut outing in the Olympic games and make it a memorable one by throwing 87.58 meters in the final to win the gold medal. Chopra had also topped the qualification round with a breathtaking 86.59m throw and in the final, his first two throws were above 87m, which assured India's first gold medal in 13-years. ## Meanwhile, the whole nation is celebrating Chopra historic win. Mumbai, August 1, 2021: It was a memorable evening for India's ace badminton player, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She has become the first Indian woman and second overall to win two individual medals at the Olympics after defeating China's He Bingjiao 21-13, 21-15 in the bronze medal match on Sunday. ## Sindhu had won a silver medal in the Rio Olympics 2016 after losing in the final to Carolina Marin. Sindhu had earlier lost to world no. 1 Tai Tzu Ying in the semi-final match on Saturday.
