Paul Heyman's Bold Claim: Roman Reigns Has Redefined The Industry
Paul Heyman has showered praise upon Roman Reigns for his great accomplishments since his return to WWE at SummerSlam 2020. Heyman, true to his characteristic style, effusively praised Reigns, asserting that he has revolutionized the wrestling industry. According to Heyman, Reigns stands in a league of his own, distinct from any other competitor. He acknowledges the rich history of the WWE Championship, featuring legendary names like Bruno Sammartino, Superstar Billy Graham, Bob Backlund, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar. ## However, Heyman highlights that the Universal Heavyweight Championship, being a newly created title, lacked the same lineage and prestige. Though held for 500 days by Brock Lesnar, it did not attain the status of the WWE Championship. But Reigns, upon becoming the Universal Heavyweight Champion, transformed the perception of the title. Heyman compares it to a Super Bowl ring, akin to what Tom Brady seeks in football. Reigns, as The Tribal Chief, desired both the history of the WWE Title and the future of the Universal Title.
