
Disney Announces Sequels To 'Frozen' 'Toy Story' And 'Zootopia'
Los Angeles, February 9 - Disney has confirmed that the sequels to its hugely successful animated franchises "Frozen", "Toy Story", and "Zootopia" are in early development. Disney will reveal details about the production soon. ## The two "Frozen" movies, released in 2013 and 2019, have combined grossed over $2.70 billion at the worldwide box office. "Frozen 2" grossed over $1.45 billion, and is currently the second highest-grossing animated movie, followed by "Frozen" ($1.28 billion) at number 3. ## "Toy Story" has had four films so far with a combined worldwide gross collection of close to $3 billion. "Toy Story 4" (2019) and "Toy Story 3" (2010) are the 6th and 7th highest-grossing animated films globally with $1.07 billion and $1.06 billion, respectively. ## "Zootopia", meanwhile, was released in 2016 and grossed approx. $1.04 billion worldwide. It is currently the 8th biggest animated title. ## The announcement of the sequels to the aforementioned films came in the wake of some sour news, read a $5.5 billion cost savings by the conglomerate across all divisions and 7,000 jobs getting cut at Disney. ## Stay tuned...
