Hyderabad, August 21 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's much-awaited fantasy action drama Vishwambhara with Bimbisara director Mallidi Vassishta, has officially been postponed yet again amid endless rumours, pushing its release from the summer of 2025 to the next year. The film, which has already generated massive buzz among fans, was initially slated for a grand January 2025 release before being moved to mid-2025. According to the makers, the delay comes as the team requires additional time to polish the film's heavy VFX work, which plays a crucial role in bringing its larger-than-life vision to the big screen. On August 21, the makers shared a video featuring Chiranjeevi, in which the megastar addressed fans' concerns regarding the continuous delay in the film's release. "The second half of Vishwambhara is driven entirely by VFX and graphics. The delay is a conscious choice to ensure the highest quality. This is a film being made with passion, without cutting corners," said Chiranjeevi. It was then revealed that Vishwambhara will now hit the big screen in the summer of 2026. While the exact date was not revealed, reliable reports say it will hit the screens in April. While fans will have to wait longer for the film's theatrical release, there is still reason to celebrate. The much-anticipated teaser of Vishwambhara, in the form of a special glimpse, will be unveiled on August 21 at 6:06 PM, perfectly timed with the eve of Chiranjeevi's birthday. This launch is expected to serve as a special treat for fans eagerly waiting to catch the first glimpse of the magnum opus, and also to check their reactions on the progress of VFX quality.
