Yami Gautam To Join Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi In Oh My God Sequel?

Mumbai, June 7, 2021: Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer Oh My God (2012) was a big hit and won critical acclaim. It was recently reported that Akshay Kumar and producer, Ashwin Varde are reuniting to take the Oh My God Franchise forward with its sequel. ## The makers have been planning to make a sequel of OMG for a long time but things couldn't fall in place. Earlier, both Akshay and Paresh Rawal were supposed to return in the sequel but now, it looks like Mr. Rawal is no longer a part of it, instead, Pankaj Tripathi has been roped in to play Rawal's role. ## While the official announcement about the film and characters is yet to be made, we have now got to know that Yami Gautam has been cast to play the female lead in the film. The actress recently got married to her Uri: The Surgical Strike director, Aditya Dhar, and kicked off the next chapter of her life. ## "Yami Gautam will play the female lead in Oh My God 2, and she has a very crucial role in the story. While the last part was all about the fight of a man with God, this time around, the makers have come up with a unique storyline that has three key roles to be played by Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, and Akshay Kumar respectively", a source told Bollywood Hungama.## It will be the first time when Yami will share screen space with Akshay Kumar. Road to Sangam Director Amit Rai Comes On Board To Helm Akshay Kumar - Pankaj Tripathi Starrer Oh My God 2?

Mumbai, June 6, 2021: Recently, it was reported that Akshay Kumar starrer, Oh My God (2012) is getting the sequel. The actor is reportadly reprising his character of God in the sequel while Pankaj Tripathi is the new addition. Tripathi will replace Paresh Rawal who was part of 2012's film. The script of the film is said to be locked and will go on floors in September this year. ## It was reported that Umesh Shukla, who helmed Oh My God, is not returning to helm sequel. We now learnt that Amit Rai, who win accolades for directing Road to Sangam (2010), has been brought on board to helm this social comedy, which will be produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar. ## Rai's directorial "Road to Sangam" featured Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, and Pawan Malhotra. He won Gollapudi Srinivas Award for the film. He has also directed the 2009 Marathi film, Tingya, which was rewarded at the International Film Festival of South Africa.## "After discussing multiple ideas with multiple names, Amit was able to crack a plot that's relevant and as exciting as the first part. It took him quite some time to develop the idea into a screenplay. It's only after multiple narrations and discussions that the film got green-lit by Akshay Kumar. He is all excited to commence shooting for Oh My God 2 from the month of September", a report by Pinkvilla stated. ## Meanwhile, the report also said that Akshay is currently going through at least 10 more scripts apart from his 7 confirmed films. OMG2: Pankaj Tripathi To Join Akshay Kumar As The Lead Hero In Oh My God Sequel?

Mumbai, June 3, 2021: Akshay Kumar has never been short of films, even in the covid-19 pandemic, he is signing films after films. And now, it seems he has got his hands on one more film. As you all know, it was earlier reported that Akshay will be starring in the sequel of his 2012 film, Oh My God with Paresh Rawal in the lead role, though there was no confirmation from makers. ## While the sequel of OMG is definitely ON, we hear that Paresh Rawal will not be part of the sequel, instead, versatile actor Pankaj Tripathi will play the lead role along with Akshay Kumar. If things go as per plan, this would be the second time Pankaj Tripathi will share screen space with Akshay. They recently worked together on the Sajid Nadiadwala production, Bachchan Pandey.## Umesh Shukla, who helmed Oh My God, is reportadly not directing the sequel. The new director is yet to be known. It is said that Ashwin Varde along with Akshay Kumar will bankroll the project, which will go on floors in September this year for two months schedule. ## The pre-production work has begun and makers are working in isolation to explore the probable locations of the shoot, and also deciding on designing the sets in the city. Tamil Film 'Oh My Kadavule' Starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh To Be Adapted In Hindi

The 2020 Tamil hit movie, Oh My Kadavule starring Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh is all set to get its Hindi version. Ashwath Marimuthu, who directed the original Tamil version, will be returning to helm the Hindi remake also which will be written and creatively produced by "Oh My God" and "102 Not Out" director Umesh Shukla. ## The Hindi remake will be jointly produced by Endemol Shine India, Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh of Merry Go Round Studios, and Parag Desai of Mumbai Talkeez. Mumbai, March 1 (IANS) Actress Bhagyashree shot to fame with her 1989 debut film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' opposite Salman Khan. Then, even as she was being touted as Bollywood's next big thing, she announced her marriage to Himalaya, who was an aspiring actor then, and subsequently became a businessman. The early marriage took a toll on her fledgling career and she never quite managed to make a comeback. ## While Bhagyashree and hubby Himalaya have always known to be deeply in love, she has now revealed that there was a one-and-a-half year phase when she had to stay away from him. ## In a video posted by celebrity lensperson Viral Bhayani on Instagram, the 51-year-old actress is seen interacting at an event.
