Akshay Kumar Team Up With Top South Producer For Telugu Blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam's Hindi Remake

Mumbai, October 13 - One of the biggest Telugu blockbusters of the year, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, is reportedly getting ready to be remade in Hindi with superstar Akshay Kumar. Originally directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh Daggubati, the action comedy was released in January 2025 and went on to gross over 250 crores worldwide. According to Gulte.com, producer Dil Raju, who backed the original film, will be producing the Hindi remake. He has reportedly locked Anees Bazmee to direct the remake, marking the filmmaker's reunion with Akshay after 17 years, since Singh Is Kinng (2008). The Bollywood superstar will play the lead role, originally played by Venkatesh Daggubati. The story is described as a triangular crime entertainer, focusing on a man, his ex-girlfriend, and his wife. Discussions are ongoing to finalise the two female leads, along with other cast and crew members. It is an interesting as well as a risky choice of Akshay Kumar to do a remake, at a time when franchise and remake films are struggling at the box office. Mumbai, January 25 - Telugu veteran Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam has entered the 200 crores gross club at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film for the actor to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the Sankranthi blockbuster hit the double century on its 12th day which is one of the fastest non-Pan India Telugu titles to do so. Hyderabad, January 18 - Staying true to its title, Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam has emerged as a Sankranthi winner, heading towards becoming a big blockbuster at the worldwide box office. Box Office: 'Saindhav' and 'Naa Saami Ranga' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, January 10 - Venkatesh Daggubati's action thriller film Saindhav with director Sailesh Kolanu will be in the action this Sankranthi festival from January 13. The movie's promotional content has been on point so far and there is excitement among the fans regarding the same. ## Produced by Niharika Entertainment, Saindhav has managed to score good pre-release theatrical business at the worldwide box office. Among the Sankranthi 2024 Telugu releases, it has the third-highest worldwide theatrical business with 25 crores. ## In two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the film scored 19 crores in business, including 7 crores in Nizam. Outside AP/TG, the business is locked at 2 crores while overseas rights are sold at 4 crores, according to T2BLive. Mumbai, April 15 - Superstar Salman Khan is busy with the promotion of his much-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which is scheduled to release on April 21.
