BCCI Announced Team India Squad For The World Cup 2019

Ambati Rayudu who was India's number 4 before the start of the Indian Premier League 2019 has been dropped from the World Cup 2019 squad as the BCCI has announced the 15-member squad on Monday (April 15). ## KL Rahul who was dropped from the ODI set up after the controversial talk show incident has been included in the 15-member squad as a backup opener for Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Ravindra Jadeja also rewarded for his brilliant all-round form in IPL 2019. Dinesh Karthik will be as a backup wicketkeeper for MS Dhoni. Rishabh Pant also was discussed in the meeting but selectors go with the experience of Dinesh Karthik.## "Definitely a case where we debated in length. We all were in unison that either pant or DK will come in only when Mahi is injured. In an important game, wicket keeping is also important. That’s the reason we went with Dinesh Karthik" - MSK Prasad said## Ambati Rayudu who was the first choice at number 4 but his recent form including IPL has been really poor and that cost him his spot. Vijay Shankar or Dinesh Karthik likely to bat at number 4. ## "We did give a few more chances to Rayudu but Vijay Shankar gives three dimensions. He can bat, if the conditions are overcast he can bowl, plus he is a [good] fielder," MSK Prasad said added.## The selectors have included three genuine pacers along with Hardik Pandya. Mohammed Shami who has shown brilliantly form in white ball cricket in recent time has given a chance into the World Cup squad. The other two pacers are Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will be two guanine spinners. Both have been brilliant for India in the last one and a half year.## India’s squad: Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami## India will start their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5.## Follow for more...

SRH - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

Sunrisers Hyderabad, a team that has heavily been depended on their bowling with a few explosive batsmen up the order, has been the team to watch out for over the years. With the tag of Dark Horses, SRH has been able to surprise many with their gutsy performances. The two-time champions (one as Deccan Chargers), though will have to answer a few questions before the mega event.## Things have been changed a lot for SRH this time around. Shikhar Dhawan who has been one of their biggest strengths and used to be a partner in destruction with David Warner cuts the ties with long served SRH and will now play for his old come new franchise Delhi Capitals. But on the other note, David Warner's return will boost their confidence who didn't play last year due to ban.## However, SRH didn't miss Warner much last year and without him, they managed to make it to the final under the new captain Kane Williamson. They lost in the final to Chennai Super Kings but would be satisfied with their effort. This time SRH also rooped in Vijay Shankar who was impressive against Australia in recently concluded 5-match ODI series.## Here is the list of the 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (SRH):## 1. David Warner (Batsman) - One of IPL's best players, David Warner must be eager to bat again in this tournament after missing out in the last year. Without a doubt, Warner has been SRH's biggest strength and under him, SRH won the title in 2016 and he was the second highest run-getter with 848 runs 17 innings. He though missed the entire last season due to ban in ugly Newlands ball-tampering scandal. He is supposed to come hard and will be a player to watch out for this year.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2017 14 14 641 126 1 4 141.81 Overall 114 114 4,014 126 3 36 142.14 ## 2. Manish Pandey (Batsman) - Manish Pandey had a decent season last year but he has been very successful for Kolkata Knight Riders before joining to SRH. He has the ability to play big shots and at the same time a strong middle order batsman who can provide solidity. He has an edge of ex-factor of his fielding as he is one of the best fielders in world cricket today. He can be the player for SRH this time.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 15 13 284 62* 0 3 115.44 Overall 118 109 2,090 114 1 12 119.57 ## 3. Vijay Shankar (Batting All-Rounder) - A high-quality batsman who can bowl, Vijay Shankar was impressive last year for Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils). Since the Nidahas Trophy failure, Vijay Shankar never looked an ordinary player and has impressed everyone with his shot-making ability and that makes him a player to watch out for in this season.## A statical view of his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 13 11 212 54* 0 1 143.24 Overall 18 15 313 63 0 2 140.36 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon Overall 18 5 1 1/22 0 12.83 ## 4. Shakib Al Hasan (All-Rounder) - Shakib Al Hasan is a genuine all-rounder and arguably the greatest player Bangladesh has ever produced. After making his IPL debut in 2011 for KKR, Shakib Al Hasan has had a wonderful journey of this tournament. Last year he was impressed with both bat and ball and looking to same kind of run this year as well.## A statical view of his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 17 13 239 35 0 0 121.91 Overall 60 45 737 66 0 2 127.29 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 17 17 14 - 0 8.00 Overall 60 59 57 3/17 0 7.40 ## 5. Siddarth Kaul (Bowler) - In SRH's nearly perfect campaign last year, Siddarth Kaul played a big role in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and was the joint second highest wicket-taker of the tournament. He was quite brilliant with his death bowling. He would like to continue the same kind of form in this year Indian Premier League as well.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 17 17 21 - 0 8.28 Overall 38 38 43 4/29 0 8.37 ## Follow for more...

Stats: Team India Register 500th Win In ODIs

Vijay Shankar who nearly lost India the final of Nidahas trophy last year against Bangladesh, thanks to Dinesh Karthik who pulled off a stunner and saved India from an embarrassing defeat, was had a chance to win the game for India against Australia in the second ODI in Nagpur and this time, he didn't make any mistake and provide India an unlike win.## With 11 runs needed in the final over and a well-set batsman (Marcus Stoinis) at the crease, it was difficult for more a part-time bowler but he kept his head and helped to 8-runs win and go 2-0 up in 5-match series.## Though the win was actually set up by the captain Kohli who scored his 40th ODI century on a pitch which was tricky for the batsmen. However, India might have felt 10 runs short but the bowlers made sure that the score was enough to double the lead in the series.## Statically, it was India's 500th win in ODIs and becomes the only second team after Australia to reach the 500 wins landmark. Shaw, Vihari shines in India A's win

Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari shone as India A crushed West Indies A by 203 runs at County Ground, Northampton on Friday, June 29. India A who already reached into the final of the tri-series won their 3rd game in 4 matches while Windies remains winless in as many games.## In moreover a dead rubber match, India A had won the toss and opted to bat first. Chandrapaul Hemraj was the highest scorer for his side with 43 off 46 balls. Sunil Ambris (32), Reifer (26) got the start but couldn't capitalize. DD Knock MI Out From The IPL 2018

Mumbai Indians have been knocked out from the IPL 2018 after they lost to Delhi Daredevils by 11 runs at Firoz Shah Kotla stadium, Delhi on Sunday (May 20). Delhi Daredevils, led by Amith Mishra's 3 for 19 restricted Mumbai Indians on 163 after Rishabh Pant's sixth fifty of this season helped DD to post a big total of 174.## How DD reached to 174## After winning the toss, DD had opted to bat first. Opener Prithvi Shaw and Glenn Maxwell gave a decent start by adding 30-runs for the first wicket in 3 overs before Shaw run out himself with a lazy stuff. Maxwell also after scoring 22 off 18 balls fell in next over as Jasprit Bumrah bowled him out. After that Rishabh Pant (Orange Cap holder) takes on Mumbai Indians' bowlers and hit them all around the park. In this process, he reached to his sixth fifty of this season off just 31 balls. But before that, he put on a 37-run stand with skipper Shreyas Iyer for the third wicket.## After losing 3 wickets on 75 after 9 overs, Vijay Shankar joined the party with Pant and added 64 runs off 47 balls for the fourth wicket. Pant takes on Hardik Pandya after reaching to his half-century and hit 2 sixes and a four in 16th over of the innings. However, after scoring 64, Krunal Pandya got him out at long on where Pollard was ready to catch it. After wicket of Pant, Vijay Shanker took responsibility on his own shoulders and helped DD to reach a good score of 174 after 20 overs. He hit Ben Cutting for a six and a four in last over and remained unbeaten on 43 off 30 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes while Abhishek Sharma made 15* off 10 balls with a six.## How MI respond to it?## In reply of 175, Mumbai Indians off to a flier despite losing Suryakumar Yadav in first over. Evin Lewis takes on Harshal Patel in fourth over by hitting 2 fours and a six. He followed this momentum in next over where he hit 2 sixes and a four to Maxwell. Mumbai Indians scored 57 runs in first six overs. Both Lewis and Ishan Kishan added 45 for the second wicket in which Kishan's contribution was only 5 runs.## Middle order collapsed hurt MI badly## Some exceptional bowling from Amit Mishra and Young Sandeep Lamichhane was the reason behind MI's 11 runs defeat. First Amit Mishra got Ishan Kishan out on 57. Before Mumbai Indians could recover from Ishan's wicket, Mishra gave them another big blow by dismissing Lewis on 74. Lewis scored 48 off 31 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes. After that, it was Lamichhane who put Mumbai completely on the back foot by dismissing Pollard and Krunal in same over. In Pollard's wicket, it was a combination of excellent fielding from Maxwell and Boult.## However, after losing 5 wickets on 78, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya tried to bring MI back into the game by adding 43 runs off 25 balls for the sixth wicket before Harshal Patel deceived Rohit on a slower ball and caught out at long on. Hardik followed Rohit in next over as Mishra trapped him on the flighted ball. He scored 27 off 17 balls.## Cutting's cameo went in vain## Ben Cutting kept MI in the hunt till the last over with a blitzing knock of 37 off 20 balls. He was dropped on 3 by Patel and hit a six on next ball. With 38 needed off 18 balls, he takes on Liam Plunket in 18th over and hit 2 fours and a and collect 15 runs from that over. In 19th over Trent Boult gave away only 5 runs and left the equation with 18 off 6 balls. Cutting start the last over with a six to deep square leg but fell out on next ball to Patel. With the wicket of Cutting, MI's hopes were also done and dusted. Bumrah was the last man to be dismissed as DD won by 11 runs.## Leg spinners' day out## Amit Mishra and Sandeep Lamichhane were the star bowlers for the DD who spun MI in their leg spin bowling. Mishra dismissed Ishan Kishan, Evin Lewis and Hardik Pandya in his four overs and conceded only 19 runs while Lamichhane finished his spell with 4-0-36-3. He dismissed Suryakumar Yadav, Pollard and Krunal. Amit Mishra also awarded Man Of The Match for his match-winning spell.## For more updates and news, stay tuned to us.## Thanks for the reading.
