Mumbai, August 22 - Kajol's much-talked-about supernatural horror thriller Maa is all set to make its digital debut, after completing its theatrical run. The film will begin streaming on Netflix from August 22, giving audiences another chance to experience its eerie and emotional storyline. ## The film, directed by Vishal Furia, combines elements of supernatural suspense with a strong emotional core, centring around a mother’s unbreakable bond in the face of dark forces. Kajol received praise for her performance in the intense portrayal of the titular character. ## Produced by Ajay Devgn under Devgn Films in association with Jio Studios and Panorama Studios, Maa had a decent run at the box office, collecting around 50 crores gross worldwide. Shraddha Kapoor's 'Naagin' Trilogy Back On Track

Mumbai, November 15 - Back in 2020, Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor was announced to headline the supernatural fantasy thriller Naagin trilogy. Vishal Furia was on board to direct the film with Nikhil Dwivedi as producer. ## However, after the announcement, the development of the project didn't take place and it was seemingly put on the backburner. Much delight to the fans, the much-awaited trilogy is back on track after 4 years of announcement and is set to go floors by 2025. ## During a recent interaction with India Today, producer Nikhil Dwivedi shared that the script took three years and was redone thrice. Talking about Shraddha's casting, the producer said that she was always the first choice and when she heard about the idea, the actress jumped at it. ## The filmmaker further said that they are expected to take the movie on floors by 2025 and release it in 2026. A Prequel To Shraddha Kapoor-Fronted Horror-Comedy Blockbuster 'Stree' Is In The Development?

Mumbai, June 19 - Shraddha Kapoor-fronted "Stree" was a huge hit at the box office upon its release in 2018. The movie opened the door to producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe which includes "Roohi" and the upcoming "Bhediya". And now, the prequel to "Stree" is reportedly in the development at the Maddock Films studio. ## Shraddha Kapoor has been shooting for Luv Ranjan's untitled romantic comedy with Ranbir Kapoor since January 2021. The movie is in the final leg of the shoot and will be wrapped up soon. According to Peepingmoon.com, Shraddha's next after Luv Ranjan's film will be the prequel to "Stree", which will go on floors in August this year. ## Dinesh Vijan is working on multiple horror comedies and plans to build a cinematic universe around them. After Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya, the team is now working to expand the universe. Vijan's next film in the MHCU tells the backstory of the girl who came to Stree and the complications she brought along. It's a prequel to 'Stree' and will see Shraddha reprising her role from the 2018 sleeper hit", read the report. ## The report further states that the prequel of "Stree" will be directed by Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar, who has also directed Sonakshi Sinha, and Riteish Deshmukh's "Kakuda", which is also a horror-comedy film. The movie is currently in the post-production work and will soon be ready to release, and after that, the director will start Shraddha's film. ## Shraddha Kapoor was supposed to begin the "Naagin" trilogy with director Vishal Furia. However, the movie has reportedly been pushed to December this year as it is a VFX-heavy film that requires more time in the pre-production work. Radhika Apte Joins Vikrant Massey In The Hindi Remake Of Malayalam Crime Thriller Film, Forensic

Mumbai, July 27, 2021: Last year in December, Mansi Bagla of Mimi Films acquired the Hindi remake rights of three South Indian films. One of the three films was the 2020 Malayalam crime thriller film, Forensic, starring Tovino Thomas, and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles. For the Hindi remake, Vikrant Massey was roped in to step into the shoes of Tovino Thomas. ## Now, the makers have cast Radhika Apte to star alongside Vikrant in the film. Radhika will reprise the role of Mamta Mohandas as Senior Superintendent of Police. The movie will be directed by Vishal Furia, known for directing tv series, The Missing Stone among others. ## "There is a particular way to navigate thriller movies and with Forensic, it hits all the right notes. I am looking forward to starting this project and work with a talented costar like Vikrant and our director Vishal who has such a clear and interesting vision for this film", Radhika said in a statement. ## The first look of the suspense crime thriller was revealed on Tuesday. 'Forensic' will also mark the reunion of Vikrant and Furia, who have previously worked together on the web show 'Criminal Justice'.
