
Telugu Movie Jersey To Be Screened At International Indian Film Festival Toronto, 2020
Gowtam Tinnanuri directed the 2019 blockbuster Telugu movie 'Jersey' has been selected to be screened at the International Indian Film Festival Toronto (iifft), 2020 which is scheduled to kick start from August 9 and will continue till August 15. ## Taking to Twitter, Sithara Entertainments that produced the film, wrote, "We are really proud to inform that #JERSEY got officially selected to screen at the prestigious International Indian Toronto Film Festival, 2020". The movie starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles while Sathyaraj, Sampath Raj, Jayaprakash, Rao Ramesh, Viswant Duddumpudi, and Sanusha have played supporting roles.## Jersey is a story about an ex-cricketer named Arjun who gives up on his dream and marries his girlfriend Sarah. But when his son asks him for an Indian cricket team jersey for his birthday, Arjun who's on a suspension from his government job decides to pick up the bat again at the age of 36. Later the story tells about how he achieved his dream and fulfill his son's wish.## Nani has played the role of the cricketer Arjun while Shraddha Srinath plays his wife and Sathyaraj his mentor. The film was a huge hit at the box office and won multiple awards at the different award shows. ## After the success of the movie, a Hindi remake was announced in October last year with Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur to lead the film while Gowtam Tinnanuri taking the director's sheet again.
