The musical romantic drama marked Aditya Chopra's directorial debut. ## DDLJ emerged as a cult classic and is considered one of the greatest Indian films of all time. It was one of only three Hindi films in the reference book - 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die and was placed 12th on the British Film Institute's list of top Indian films of all time. ## Produced by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, DDLJ won several accolades at different shows, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and its soundtrack album became one of the most popular of the 1990s. ## DDLJ was a box office phenomenon and broke several records upon its release in 1995. 'Veer-Zaara' Surpasses 100 Crore Worldwide Gross On Re-Release

Mumbai, September 20 - One of the most celebrated Bollywood films of the 21st century, Veer-Zaara starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji has entered the 100 crores gross club at the worldwide box office, thanks to its re-release run time and again.## The Yash Chopra's directorial superhit film was recently re-released this month and has crossed approximately 1.75+ crores in the first week. Earlier, the movie had an occasional limited re-release this year where it scored approximately 40 lakh gross collection. ## Apart from 2024, Veer-Zaara has had an occasional re-release from 2005-2023 during which it grossed 2.50 crores. Box Office: YRF's 'Veer-Zaara' Re-Release Scores In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, September 16 - As the re-release trend is picking up in Bollywood, the nostalgia factor is bringing the audience to the theatres to revisit some of the evergreen hits. Amid the success of a few re-releases, Yash Raj Film's Veer-Zaara returned to the big screen and scored well in the opening weekend. ## The 20-year-old epic romantic drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji, was re-released on September 13 on over 300 shows, which jumped to over 400 shows on Sunday after the positive response at the box office. ## The Yash Chopra's superhit directorial scored approximately 25 lakh gross collection on its opening day upon re-release. The movie witnessed an upward trend on the second day to score approximately 40 lakh gross, followed by another 45+ lakh on Sunday, for approximately 1.10+ crore gross (95 lakh net) opening weekend. ## Earlier in the year, Veer-Zaara had occasional re-releases on limited shows where it grossed approximately 40 lakh collection, and including the latest re-release, the movie has grossed around 1.50 crores this year (1.30 crores net). ## Veer-Zaara was a super hit at the box office in its original run with approximately 97 crores worldwide gross collection. After the re-release this year, the total collection is now around 98.50 crores. Aditya Chopra Launches Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative To Support Daily Wage Earners Of Film Industry
