Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' Scores Biggest Opening Weekend Viewership In Hindi On ZEE5

Mumbai, February 2 - Director Meghna Gulzar's war biographical grama Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role has emerged as an all-time biggest opener for ZEE5 in Hindi-language, according to Deadline. ## Sam Bahadur, based on the life of India's first field marshal Sam Manekshaw, was premiered on ZEE5 on January 26 after 8 weeks of theatrical run. In the first three days of its digital release, the film has risen to the top position among all Hindi titles released on the ZEE5. ## While viewership numbers are not revealed, ZEE5 said that the movie has been watched in over 190 countries on the platform, with the U.S., Australia, the UK, the United Arab Emirates and Canada as the top performers outside of India. ## Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP, Sam Bahadur was also a theatrical success with a worldwide gross collection of over 130 crores. Mumbai, November 30 - The second instalment of the anthology film Lust Stories has been the most popular Indian streaming film of 2023 so far, as per the IMDb rating which is determined by the page views on the website. The movies on the list are the ones released between the period of January 1 - November 6. ## Lust Stories 2, which was released on June 29, scored 18.5 million viewing hours in the first three weeks on Netflix. Even though the numbers are lower than many films released this year on Netflix, the film attracted audience attention due to its solid casting and content. ## Kareena Kapoor's Jaane Jaan is the second most popular Indian streaming movie of the year. It was a big success for Netflix and in the first three weeks, it scored 38 million viewing hours.
