Director Siddharth Anand Confirms Shooting Timeline of Shah Rukh Khan's 'King'

Mumbai, March 8 – Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next big cinematic venture, an action-packed thriller titled King. It has been one of the most anticipated Bollywood films and has gone through creative changes which have pushed the shoot back.## Originally to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will now be helmed by Siddharth Anand who reunites with King Khan after the mega blockbuster Pathaan. 'Gully Boy' Sequel In The Works With Different Cast: Report

Mumbai, January 14 - A sequel to the musical romantic drama Gully Boy is reportedly in the works without the original cast of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and director Zoya Akhtar. The blockbuster film will complete 6 years on February 14. ## According to the Filmfare report, Vicky Kaushal and Ananya Pandey will headline the much-awaited sequel while Arjun Varain Singh, who previously helmed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, will direct it. If gets confirmed, it will mark Vicky and Ananya's first film together. ## "Arjun Varain Singh, who directed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is slated to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He's confident that Ananya, who was his heroine in Kho Gaye, will be the perfect girl to lead the project. Vicky has been attached with the sequel for a long time now", says the report. ## Released in 2019, Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of street rappers Divine and Naezy. Aamir Khan To Do A Superhero Movie With Director Lokesh Kanagaraj

Mumbai, October 14 - Over the last couple of months, the trade is buzzing with the potential maiden collaboration between Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj. While Aamir has confirmed to play a cameo in Lokesh's Coolie starring Rajinikanth, the duo has also been in the news for a full-fledged film. ## It was recently reported that Aamir and Lokesh have been in talks for quite some time now and that things were progressing in the right direction. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the project in question is a superhero film and Aamir has asked the director to develop this idea into a full-fledged script. ## The report says that Lokesh is now looking to develop the same with his team of writers, before pitching the first draft to the Dangal star. The film failed to provide a memorable launch pad for Suhana, and it looks like she will have to wait a bit longer to taste the success. ## According to the latest reports, SRK has put "The King", in which he was supposed to play an extended role, on hold as it is said that he isn't keen on his daughter being subjected to unfair comparisons to the superstar, especially after "The Archies". Mumbai, December 13 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's rescue thriller Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue was the most-watched non-English film worldwide on Netflix during the week of December 4 - December 10, and also crossed 10 million viewing hours in the first 10 days. ## Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, "Mission Raniganj" scored 5.7 million viewing hours from 2.5 million views on Netflix during the said week. It was the 5th most-watched non-English title on the streamer in its opening weekend with 5.5 million viewing hours from 2.4 million views.## The total viewing hours of the movie are now 11.20 million from 4.9 million views. The film is trending in the top 10 in 14 countries, including number 1 in India, Oman, and Pakistan. Outside Asia, "Mission Raniganj" is trending at number 10 in Nigeria and number 6 in Mauritius. ## Meanwhile, Zoya Akhtar's "The Archies" which was directly released on Netflix on December 7, scored 5.2 million viewing hours from 2.2 million views in its opening weekend and was the third most-watched non-English film worldwide. Mumbai, July 15 - Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment has announced a new release date of the horror comedy film Phone Bhoot, starring Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter. ## The Gurmmeet Singh-directed movie, which was earlier announced for October 7, 2022, release, will now be hitting worldwide theaters on November 4 in the same year. It will be clashing with Arjun Kapoor and Tabu's Kuttey at the box office. In a candid conversation with IANS, the actor, now seen playing Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's '83', shared how he defeated his 'know it all' attitude during the initial stages of his career. ## Ranveer works extremely hard on his movies. From bulking up for his role of Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmavat' to transforming into a thin guy in 'Gully Boy', the Bollywood sensation is a living example of how one should approach one's work with utmost sincerity. ## There was a crucial lesson he learnt in the initial stages of his career and this eventually helped him become a superstar. ## The acclaimed actor has established himself as the biggest superstar of his generation with '83'. His performance is getting praise from both film critics as well as cricket fans. ## Despite such an impressive roster of achievements in a short span of time, the 36-year-old actor continues to be down to earth and believes there's a lot more to be done. ## "Mai actor ban gaya yaar, mujhe aaj tak yakin nahi ho raha hai! (I am an actor, I still can't believe it!) I got a chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Zoya Akhtar, Rohit Shetty, Kabir Khan, Karan Johar ... what's happening is beyond my imagination. Ten years back, when I started my career in Bollywood, I thought that I knew it all (in acting) and was entitled ... I mean after 'Band Baaja Baaraat', I thought I knew everything about acting. And was entitled ... like, whatever chances I am getting, I deserve it. ## "Actually, when I was struggling, I didn't feel like that, I was always so anxious at that time. My experiences made me anxious. I felt I had been wronged ... all the rejections, the humiliation! I (felt then that I) have been working hard for the past three-four years but not getting an opportunity. ## "After a point, it starts playing with your mind. And it starts making you feel frustrated, anxious and bitter. So, when 'Band Baaja Baaraat' became a hit, it was coming from inside. I started projecting entitlement ... that I know everything about acting. ## "But then, as time passed and I worked more and more, and as I matured, I realised, 'oh sh*t, I know nothing about acting'. This is limitless. There is no boundary. You can go to any extent. You can die here. This is what I learnt and realised that the more you work, the more you can give. Performance art has no limit," Ranveer said. ## Emphasising how grateful he was for the opportunities that had come his way, he said. "I feel really honoured to have worked with big directors. My mentor used to say that I must work in a way that next time when the director is making a movie, you should be his/her first choice." ## Ranveer is a shapeshifter, as we have seen from 'Bajirao' and 'Padmavat', to 'Simmba', to 'Gully Boy' and '83'. But there is a risk involved in this business of losing and gaining weight constantly. It can be dangerous. ## Responding to this observation, Ranveer said: "Yes, there is risk involved. I do take high risks. We have to shape our body as per the demand of the character. We train for this under supervision and follow a strict schedule." ## Helmed by Kabir Khan, '83' narrates the story of the Indian cricket team's historic 1983 World Cup win. A Documentary Series On Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Is In The Making

Mumbai, September 19, 2021: Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry. From the beginning of his career to become the superstar, Salman's 33-years of journey in the film industry has nothing been short of a rollercoaster ride, in which he has had his share of ups and downs. ## While the fans of Salman will see plenty of films of him in the future, a docu-series on the actor is also in the making and it has reportedly been titled "Beyond The Star - Salman Khan". To chronicle Salman's journey to stardom and also give a glimpse to the audience about the lesser-known facts of the actor, SKF Films in association with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment are producing the series. ## According to Pinkvilla, "All the key stakeholders of Salman's career – right from family to his co-stars, directors, and producers – will be a part of this docu-series. The prep work has already begun and the interviews with Salman's colleagues will be done in the coming few months". ## It is reported that the producers are in talks with an OTT platform for the premiere of the series.
