Dhurandhar: The 4-Minute Post-Credits Scene in Ranveer Singh's Film Sets Up a Massive Cinematic Universe; Details Inside

As the countdown begins for one of the biggest releases of the year, the excitement surrounding Aditya Dhar"™s espionage thriller Dhurandhar has hit a fever pitch. Starring Ranveer Singh in a never-seen-before avatar alongside a heavy-duty ensemble, the film is already making headlines for its runtime and "˜A"™ certification. But if verified reports are to be believed, the real surprise lies after the movie ends.According to exclusive insider information, Dhurandhar features a staggering 4-minute post-credits scene, a rarity in Indian cinema, which is set to officially launch the Dhurandhar Cinematic Universe. Sources close to the development have confirmed that the makers have attached a special 4-minute sequence at the end of the theatrical cut. This isn't just a blooper reel or a small tease; it is a full-fledged narrative segment designed to introduce the audience to the world of Dhurandhar 2. The post-credits scene is a film in itself, revealed a source. It bridges the gap between the first part and the sequel, which is reportedly scheduled for a Summer 2026 release.Aditya Dhar has designed this sequence to leave the audience with a massive cliffhanger, ensuring the buzz for the franchise continues long after the credits roll. From its very inception, Dhurandhar was envisioned not merely as a standalone film but as an ambitious two-part saga. Scheduled to hit cinemas on December 5, 2025, this high-octane spy action drama immerses the audience in a gritty world of geopolitical conflicts and covert RAW operations. However, the storytelling reportedly doesn't end when the screen fades to black. The much-talked-about post-credits scene is designed to be a game-changer, unveiling a menacing new villain or a major narrative twist that dramatically expands the scope from a single mission into a larger Cinematic Universe. This segment effectively acts as a direct and gripping teaser for Dhurandhar 2, confirming that the intensity is only just beginning and that the stakes are set to get significantly higher in the sequel. The substantial 4-minute addition plays a significant role in the film's colossal duration. Officially locked at a runtime of 3 hours, 34 minutes, and 1 second (214 minutes), Dhurandhar holds the distinction of being the longest Bollywood release in over 15 years, a record previously held by the historical epic Jodhaa Akbar. Adding to the intrigue is the film's certification; the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the movie an 'A' certificate, citing its gritty action sequences and intense violence. Notably, this marks a career-first for Ranveer Singh, who has ventured into the territory of adult-rated cinema for the first time with this intense espionage thriller. Powering this ambitious cinematic universe is a stellar ensemble cast that brings together some of the industry's most formidable talents. At the helm is director Aditya Dhar, marking his return to the high-stakes action genre following the historic success of Uri: The Surgical Strike. Leading the charge is the dynamic Ranveer Singh, who headlines this gritty espionage drama. He is supported by a heavyweight lineup including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, alongside rising star Sara Arjun, ensuring that the film is packed with powerhouse performances to match its massive scale. Dhurandhar is set to release on December 5, 2025, enjoying a solo run before the Christmas clash heats up with Kartik Aaryan's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.By planting the seeds of a sequel immediately, the makers are clearly confident in the brand they are building.

Dhurandhar: From the High Josh of Uri to a Massive Cinematic War Inside Aditya Dhar's War Room

In the world of cinema, some directors create scenes, while others orchestrate missions. Aditya Dhar belongs firmly to the latter category. As we stand on the brink of his massive December 5, 2025 release, Dhurandhar, it is fascinating to step into Aditya Dhar's War Room to understand how a filmmaker who started with a precision strike has now evolved to command an all-out cinematic war. From the patriotic roar of Uri: The Surgical Strike to the gritty, sprawling universe of Dhurandhar, here is how Dhar has redefined the Indian action genre. Back in 2019, Aditya Dhar entered the battlefield with Uri: The Surgical Strike, a film that was less of a movie and more of a national emotion. Starring a then-rising Vicky Kaushal, the film was a textbook example of tactical filmmaking. Produced on a budget of ₹42 Crore, it defied every trade prediction to emerge as an All Time Blockbuster. The film obliterated records, minting an India Net Collection of ₹244.14 Cr (India Gross: ₹293.75 Cr) and an Overseas Collection of ₹48.00 Cr, taking its Worldwide total to a staggering ₹341.75 Cr. Not only did it stand as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019, but it also cemented its legacy as the 10th highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. The famous dialogue How's the Josh? transitioned from a script line to a cultural greeting, proving that you don't need a massive budget to win the war"”just conviction, technical finesse, and a pulse on the nation's sentiment. Fast forward to 2025, and the strategy in Dhar's war room has shifted from efficiency to colossal scale. If Uri was a covert operation, Dhurandhar is a declaration of war. Marking his return to the director's chair after six years, Dhar has assembled what can only be described as the Avengers of Spy Dramas. The film stars Ranveer Singh in his first-ever intense espionage avatar, backed by industry heavyweights Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. The sheer assembly of this cast suggests that Dhar is no longer the tactical strategist; he is now the commander of a massive cinematic fleet. The most significant evolution in Dhar's filmmaking is visible in the creative risks he is taking with Dhurandhar. Unlike the U/A-rated patriotism of Uri, Dhurandhar dives deep into the dark, bloody world of international espionage. The film has been certified A (Adults Only) due to its intense violence and realistic action, a brave move for a commercial potboiler. Furthermore, Dhar has refused to compromise on his vision, locking the runtime at 3 hours, 34 minutes, and 1 second, making it the longest Bollywood film in over 15 years. This isn't just a movie; it's an immersive experience designed to test the endurance and excitement of the audience. Aditya Dhar's journey from 2019 to 2025 highlights a filmmaker who refuses to play it safe. With Uri, he proved he could make a profitable, critically acclaimed film on a tight budget. With Dhurandhar, he is testing the limits of star power and storytelling duration. As the film gears up for its release this Friday, one thing is certain: the War Room is active, the plans are drawn, and Aditya Dhar is ready to launch his biggest mission yet. Dhurandhar Press Show Cancelled Why was Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhars massive Delhi screening called off at the last minute

The excitement for Aditya Dhar's espionage thriller Dhurandhar has been at an all-time high. With a massive star cast led by Ranveer Singh and a gripping storyline based on Indian intelligence operations, fans and critics alike have been counting down the hours. However, just before the film hits the big screens, reports coming in from the capital have left many disappointed. According to the latest buzz, the highly anticipated press show of Dhurandhar in Delhi had to be cancelled at the very last minute, leaving critics and the media waiting. As per a verified update shared by trade analyst Joginder Tuteja, the stage was set for the press screening in Delhi, with critics and media personnel already present at the venue. Unfortunately, a sudden technical glitch halted the proceedings before the movie could even begin. While technical issues are not uncommon, the situation was complicated by the film's massive scale. Dhurandhar has a verified runtime of approximately 3 hours and 34 minutes. Because of this extensive duration, it was impossible for the organizers to fix the glitch and restart the show within a reasonable timeframe. As Tuteja noted, There was a limit to the time when the show could have begun, forcing the makers to regrettably call off the screening. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The cancellation comes as a blow to the makers, including director Aditya Dhar and producers Jio Studios, who were eagerly awaiting early feedback for their biggest project to date. Tuteja described the incident as unfortunate and disheartening, urging people to empathize with the team rather than resorting to unwarranted trolling. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Despite the pre-release hiccup at the press screening, the hype for the movie remains untouched as it hits theatres today, December 5, 2025. The film boasts a dream cast that has cinephiles buzzing, featuring a powerhouse ensemble led by Ranveer Singh, who plays an intense undercover agent. He is supported by industry heavyweights Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, making for one of the most star-studded lineups of the year. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, the director celebrated for Uri: The Surgical Strike, Dhurandhar is billed as a high-octane spy thriller inspired by real-life covert operations of Indian intelligence. The narrative reportedly centers on a daring, high-stakes mission executed by RAW agents to dismantle a crime syndicate operating out of Pakistan, promising edge-of-the-seat suspense. The scale of the project is equally ambitious, setting it apart from standard releases. With an 'A' certificate and a confirmed runtime spanning over 3.5 hours, Dhurandhar stands as one of the longest and most expensive Indian films in recent memory. This extensive duration suggests an uncompromising vision, offering audiences an uncut, gritty cinematic experience that refuses to rush its storytelling. As the old saying goes, The show must go on. While the press show faced a hurdle, the film has officially arrived in cinemas this morning. Audiences across the country can now witness Ranveer Singh's intense avatar on the big screen, technical glitches notwithstanding!

Yami Gautam Calls Out Paid Negative PR Against Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar

Mumbai, December 4 - Actress Yami Gautam has taken a bold stand by calling out what she describes as a dangerous and growing trend of paid PR manipulation within the film industry. In a strongly worded statement, she revealed that certain groups demand money under the garb of "marketing," promising hype in return, and threatening continuous negativity if not paid. Calling it nothing short of extortion, Yami said this practice has become a plague that could seriously damage the future of Indian cinema. The actress warned that this new "normal" is far from harmless and could eventually "bite everyone." She highlighted how fabricated hype and planted negative press have distorted perceptions of success over the past few years, hinting that many uncomfortable truths remain buried. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Yami contrasted this with the South Indian film industries, where, she said, such unethical practices are not tolerated because the industry stands united on many fronts. Expressing her concern as both an industry member and the wife of director Aditya Dhar, Yami defended Dhurandhar, stressing that Dhar and his team have poured honesty, vision, and relentless hard work into the film. She emphasised that no film should be forced into toxic PR games and that the audience should be allowed to decide the film's fate without manipulation. Her appeal reflects not just personal frustration but a broader plea for integrity within the industry. Yami urged producers, directors, and actors across Bollywood to unite and stop this "termite of a culture" before it grows further. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Yami's statement has sparked a wave of conversations online, with many applauding her courage. Hrithik Roshan, while commenting under the actress's post on X, amplified her concerns by highlighting how this trend harms not just filmmakers but journalism itself. He wrote that the biggest loss is the "journalist's true voice," which gets drowned out by paid agendas. He stressed that genuine opinions are essential for filmmakers to grow, adding that without freedom of expression and honest feedback, "what job satisfaction can they or any of us hope for?" There is something iv been wanting to express since really long, I feel today is that day & I must . This so called trend of giving money, in the disguise of marketing a film, to ensure good "˜hype"™ for a film is created or else "˜they"™ will continuously write negative things"¦— Yami Gautam Dhar (@yamigautam) December 4, 2025 Stay tuned...

Taking a detour from the massy entertainers, we land on the gritty and intelligent Madras Cafe. Starring John Abraham, this film was ahead of its time. Made on a distinct Budget of ₹ 34.00 Cr, it earned a Total Net Collection of ₹ 42.47 Cr and an India Gross of ₹ 57.33 Cr. While the trade gave it an AVERAGE Verdict due to its niche appeal, the Worldwide Gross of ₹ 66.71 Cr and its critical acclaim make it a must-watch for true cinema lovers who enjoy geopolitical drama over flying cars. Before Pathaan, there was War. This stylish face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff set the benchmark for action aesthetics in Bollywood. The film was a visual spectacle with a Budget of ₹ 150.00 Cr, and the audience loved it, crowning it a BLOCKBUSTER. It collected a massive India Net Collection of ₹ 318.01 Cr and an India Gross Collection of ₹ 375.00 Cr. The film also performed exceptionally well internationally, with an Overseas Collection of ₹ 96.00 Cr, bringing its Worldwide Collection to ₹ 471.00 Cr. To complete our Top 7, we have to tip our hat to the one that started the spy universe craze. While we focused on the sequels and spin-offs above, the original Ek Tha Tiger deserves the final spot. It laid the foundation for the Blockbusters that followed (Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan). It established the formula of romance mixed with high-stakes espionage, making it the perfect movie to binge-watch to see where it all began! So, there you have it! From the gritty realism of Madras Cafe to the high-flying stunts of Pathaan, Bollywood has given us a spy thriller for every mood. Is Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Based On The Life of Major Mohit Sharma? Director Aditya Dhar Clears The Air

Mumbai, November 27 - Ranveer Singh-fronted spy action thriller Dhurandhar has been the talk of the town for the last few days after the trailer was launched. The makers have described the movie as "inspired by actual events", which has led social media users to dig deep to find the parallels. Ever since the trailer was launched, people began drawing parallels between Ranveer Singh's character and real-life national hero Major Mohit Sharma, the braveheart who went undercover as Iftikhar Bhatt to infiltrate Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s. On Wednesday (November 26), director Aditya Dhar responded to Major Mohit's brother, Madhur Sharma, who tagged the filmmaker on social media and asked if the film was based on the undercover spy. Clearing the air, Dhar denied the rumours that say that the film is inspired by Braveheart.
