Chennai, January 9 - The release of Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited film Jana Nayagan continues to remain uncertain, with no immediate relief in sight for the makers. Just when it appeared that the film had crossed its biggest hurdle, the situation took another dramatic turn. The Madras High Court Chief Justice bench stayed the earlier directive that had cleared the way for the film's release. As a result, the certification granted to Jana Nayagan has effectively been put on hold, once again stalling its theatrical rollout. Earlier in the day, a single judge of the Madras High Court, Justice PT Asha, allowed the writ petition filed by the production house KVN Productions LLP and directed the CBFC to immediately issue a U/A (16+) certificate to the film.
