AEW Wrestler Ortiz Undergoes Successful Surgery for Torn Pec

AEW star Ortiz went under the knife today, April 2nd, to repair a torn pectoral muscle.

Ortiz himself revealed the injury on Isiah Kassidy's vlog, explaining his absence from AEW programming. PWInsider confirmed the successful surgery.

Ortiz's last appearance was on the January 20th episode of Collision, where he teamed with Eddie Kingston in a losing effort against Blackpool Combat Club's Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.

A mainstay since AEW's inception in 2019, Ortiz competed on the very first episode of Dynamite alongside Chris Jericho and Santana as part of the Inner Circle. The duo established themselves as a dominant force but never secured the AEW Tag Team Championships.

They eventually disbanded due to reported real-life issues. Santana departed AEW last month.
