
SS Rajamouli, Prabhas' Baahubali - The Epic Sets Up Release In All Major Formats; Details Revealed
Hyderabad, October 14 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali duology is returning to the big screen in a large single cut as Baahubali - The Epic. The film reportedly carries a runtime of 3 hours and 40 minutes, making it the longest Indian film. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make Baahubali - The Epic as engaging as the original films, despite the lengthy runtime. SS Rajamouli himself is overseeing the editing process and other works before the final edit is locked, ahead of its October 31st release. Baahubali films are known for their visual grandeur, and hence, the makers have locked all the major formats for Baahubali - The Epic. It has been revealed that the movie will be screened in IMAX, along with Dolby Cinema, D-Box, 4DX, EPIQ, ICE Theatres and PCX screens, as well as 2D format. Produced by Arka Media Works, the film stars Prabhas in a dual role, alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Subbaraju. The film is set in fictional medieval India and centres on the rivalry between siblings Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva. Bhallaladeva conspires against Amarendra, leading to his death at the hands of Kattappa. Years later, Amarendra's son (Mahendra or Sivudu) seeks to avenge his father's demise.
