The professional wrestling world is mourning the loss of Ole Anderson, a founding member of the iconic Four Horsemen stable and a legendary figure in the territory era. The news of his passing was shared on social media by fellow wrestler Ricky Morton earlier today.





Anderson, whose real name was Alan Rogowski, passed away at the age of 81. Beyond his in-ring career, Anderson also made significant contributions to the industry as a booker for Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW) and Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP). Notably, he held a long-standing grudge against Vince McMahon stemming from the 1984 takeover of GCW.





Anderson's career highlights include his role as an original Four Horsemen alongside Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, and Arn Anderson, managed by J.J. Dillon. He later joined the Minnesota Wrecking Crew with his kayfabe brother Gene Anderson. In 2007, Anderson was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, although the exact cause of his death remains unreported at this time.





Anderson's refusal to participate in WWE-related events, including documentaries and Hall of Fame inductions, was a testament to his enduring animosity towards Vince McMahon. Despite this, his impact on the wrestling world, both inside and outside the ring, is undeniable.
