Vivek Agnihotri's The Bengal Files Censor Certificate and Record Runtime Revealed

Mumbai, August 27 - National Award-winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is all set to release the third instalment and possibly the final film in his acclaimed Files trilogy with The Bengal Files, which releases on September 5. The movie has been making headlines in the media just like the previous films for its political commentary, which has been the hallmark of the franchise. This upcoming film portrays the tragic events surrounding Direct Action Day, also known as the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings on 16 August 1946. Ahead of the film's release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the movie, and like The Kashmir Files, it has also got an A certificate. What makes the update even more significant is the film's approved runtime, which is 3 hours and 24 minutes (204 minutes). This not only makes The Bengal Files the longest film in Agnihotri's trilogy, surpassing The Kashmir Files (2 hours 50 minutes) and The Tashkent Files (2 hours 24 minutes), but also positions it among the longest mainstream Hindi films ever released. In recent times, it is easily the longest Bollywood film, beating Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (201 minutes). The Bengal Files Director Vivek Agnihotri Responds Strongly to John Abraham's Criticism of The Kashmir Files

Mumbai, August 22 - National award-winning director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is gearing up for the release of political drama The Bengal Files, which is the third piece in Agnihotri's Files trilogy after National Award-winning movies The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022). The upcoming movie revolves around the Calcutta riots of August 16, 1946, which were triggered after the All-India Muslim League called for Direct Action Day to demand a separate homeland. The movie has been in the media headlines for various reasons, which was expected. Recently, Bollywood star John Abraham shared his opinion on films like The Kashmir Files and Chhaava, and labelled them as the extreme right wing's ideological films, which he said are not good for society. He expressed that he would never make films like The Kashmir Files to "sway people in a hyper-political environment". Abraham's comments left many people furious, including director Agnihotri. During an interview with Padmaja Joshi of NDTV, the filmmaker, who worked with Abraham in 2007's sports drama Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, reacted to the actor's comment about The Kashmir Files. "John is not a historian, an intellectual, a thinker, or a writer. He has been making very, very jingoistic films like Satyameva Jayate, too. He made Diplomat and all those kinds of films. Vivek Agnihotri Renames 'The Delhi Files' To 'The Bengal Files'; Announces New Release Date

Mumbai, June 10 - Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has renamed his upcoming film The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter on public demand. The political drama has now been titled as The Bengal Files: Right To Life, which is the third film in Agnihotri's Files trilogy after The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022). ## Taking to social media on Tuesday, Agnihotri shared the new title along with a poster of the film, which examines the horrific communal violence that took place in undivided Bengal during the 1940s. The filmmaker announced that the teaser of the movie will be out on June 5, while the film will hit the big screen on September 5 this year. ## The Bengal Files: Right To Life delves into historical events such as the Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. Agnihotri has described these incidents as a "Hindu genocide" and expressed his intent to bring to light a largely neglected chapter of Indian history. Hyderabad, October 17 - Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's period action drama film Tiger Nageswara Rao is hitting worldwide theatres on October 20 in multiple languages, including Hindi. Directed by Vamsee, TNR is easily the biggest film in Ravi Teja's career in terms of scale and budget, leading to huge expectations in trade.## "Tiger Nageswara Rao" worldwide theatrical business has been locked at the biggest ever for the actor. TNR's pre-release theatrical business has been valued at approximately 37 crores worldwide, including 31 crores for the two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). ## The AP/TG theatrical business of 31 crores of TNR, includes approximately 8.50 crores for the Nizam area and 5.50 crores for Ceded. The entire Andhra rights are valued at 17 crores while the rest of India business is done at 4 crores. Vivek Agnihotri Announces Dates For Pre-Release Screenings Of 'The Vaccine War'

Mumbai, August 16 - After delivering the all-time blockbuster success with "The Kashmir Files" last year, national award-winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is gearing up for his next film, titled "The Vaccine War". Touted to be a true story, the film is based on the struggle and efforts of scientists during the covid-19 pandemic. ## "The Vaccine War" is scheduled to release on September 28, clashing with Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". Ahead of the film's official release, the makers will be organizing the pre-release premiere across the USA, starting from August 15 to September 4.## It is to be noted that Agnitori had approached the same promotional route for "The Kashmir Files" as well which hugely benefitted the movie in creating awareness among the people.
