Directed by Sujeeth, the film stormed the global box office with an opening of 144 crores worldwide (including premieres), marking not only Pawan Kalyan's career-best start but also one of the highest openings for an Indian film ever. However, Friday witnessed a significant drop of nearly 80%, bringing in around 28-29 crores worldwide gross. Despite the fall, OG has already overtaken the lifetime collection of Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak (₹158.5 crores) in just two days, becoming his biggest grosser. The film now stands at an estimated 172 crores worldwide gross, including approximately 123 crores from India alone. Mumbai, September 26 - Power star Pawan Kalyan has unleashed a box office storm with his gangster action drama They Call Him OG. The film has opened to record-breaking numbers domestically, registering the biggest opening of 2025, surpassing superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie, which belongs to a similar action-packed genre. Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG scored an estimated 100 crore gross on its opening day at the Indian box office, including around 25 crore from premiere shows alone. This stellar start has eclipsed Coolie, which debuted with approximately 77 crore gross just last month. In terms of records, OG now holds the seventh-biggest opening ever for a Telugu film and the eighth-biggest for an Indian movie in the domestic market. In the Telugu states, the film has registered the third-highest opening day, trailing only behind RRR, starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule.
