Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be celebrating his 60th birthday on March 14 and on the evening of it, he addressed the media at his residence and shared updates regarding his future projects, including the next release Sitaare Zameen Par.## When asked about the film, Aamir confirmed that this R. S. Prasanna's directorial is the sequel to his 2007 drama, Taare Zameen Par and the official release date of it will be announced tomorrow, i.e. on his birthday. It is produced by produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.## Meanwhile, according to the report by Pinkvilla, SZP's final edit is on the verge of being locked and it will hit the big screens in June 2025. Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Release Date Locked

Mumbai, January 27 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par is set to be delayed to the end of this year. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the comedy-drama is one of the highly-anticipated Bollywood movies of the year and a potential big comeback for the actor after the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha. ## Sitaare Zameen Par has been in production since early 2024 and was supposed to be released during Christmas 2024 weekend before makers postponed it to early 2025, but not anymore. Aamir Khan has confirmed that the movie would now be released on Christmas this year. ## The Dangal star attended the Republic Day celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Vadodara on Sunday where he shared the details about the project. Tokyo, November 21 - Aamir Khan's production Laapataa Ladies, which is also India's official Oscar 2025 entry, has beaten the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Ceasefire at the Japanese box office. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, the rural comedy-drama has minted over ¥50 million (2.75+ crore gross) in 45 days so far. Pathaan had grossed approximately 50 million yen while Salaar: Ceasefire earned approximately 46 million yen. Both the films were 2 of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023. ## The total worldwide collection of Laapataa Ladies is approximately 31 crores gross, including 25 crores gross at the Indian box office. The movie was a decent success in India. It is expected to have a good run at the Japanese box office. ## As said, Laapata Ladies is the 14th highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan. Mumbai, September 23 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has been picked as India's official entry for the Oscars 2025, the Film Federation of India announced on Monday. ## The comedy-drama film, directed by Kiran Rao, tells the story of two young newly-wed brides who get exchanged during a train ride to their husband's homes. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan, in key roles.## Laapataa Ladies was released on March 1st this year amid positive critical reception. The movie did decently at the box office, grossing approximately 27.50 crores worldwide before emerging as a big success on streaming with over 17 million views.## The 13-member select committee headed by Assamese director Jahnu Barua unanimously decided on Laapataa Ladies as India's Oscars 2025 entry. However, in a positive indication, the movie witnessed a minor jump in its 9th week after the OTT release. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies has been hailed as one of the best Indian films of 2024 but the lack of star power proved a roadblock in its box office journey. Aamir Khan Reveals His Mother's Reaction On To His Upcoming 'Laal Singh Chaddha'

Mumbai, April 29 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan released the first song 'Kahani' from his upcoming social comedy-drama film "Laal Singh Chaddha". The superstar kept the audience guessing about Kahani before he finally unveiled the song on Thursday (April 28). ## "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks-fronted "Forrest Gump". Directed by Advait Chandan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. Aamir took to a unique way to unveil the song 'Kahani' as he reached RedFM studio on Thursday to talk about the song along with his daughter Ira Khan. ## During the conversation with RedFM, Aamir was asked whose opinion matters the most to him when it comes to his work, Aamir said his mother's. He said, "My mother gives well-thought-out responses. When she doesn't like something, she says, 'Get it away from me, what have you made'. She's very cute in the way she says it". ## The "Dangal" star further revealed the precious reaction of his mother to "Laal Singh Chaddha" and said that she loved the movie and asked not to change anything. "My mother really liked the film. She said, 'Don't listen to anybody else, you've made a very good film. Don't cut anything, release it as it is. My mother's opinion of my work is very important to me", he added. ## Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, "Laal Singh Chaddha" is scheduled to release on August 11, 2022.
