Mumbai, November 6 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, after a few flops over the last couple of years, finally scored a well-deserved box office success in the form of Dream Girl 2. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the comedy-drama is the spiritual sequel to the 2019 film "Dream Girl". ## "Dream Girl 2" was released on October 25 this year amid some expectations of being the successor of a well-received critical and commercial film. There were still some doubts over the potential of the movie given the fact that Ayushmann was coming after 6 non-hits, plus, it released amid the box office juggernaut of "Gadar 2" and "OMG 2". ## Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, "Dream Girl 2" received mixed to positive reception from critics and audiences but the strong franchise value helped it to score the biggest opening for Ayushmann with 10.69 crores net. Mumbai, September 13 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 emerged a slipper success at the box office and entered the 100 crores net club in Hindi. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film managed to withstand Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan" and holdover film "Gadar 2" to make a surprise entry to the coveted 100 crores club. It topped the century mark on its 18th day as its current net collection stands at over 100.50 crores.## "Dream Girl 2" has become the 113th movie ever to top 100 crores net in Hindi. The last movie to hit this mark was "Jawan". DG2 is overall the 10th movie of 2023, including Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush" to achieve this milestone. It is currently the 111th all-time highest net-grosser movie in Hindi and will likely finish its box office run at around 105 crores net. ## The film has also become the 4th movie of Ayushmann to score 100 crores net or more, and his first since "Bala" (2019). Earlier, apart from Bala, the original Dream Gil scored 10.05 crores net collection on its opening day and is now the third biggest opener for the actor. Mumbai, August 16 - Director Raaj Shaandilyaa and actor Ayushmann Khurrana return with the sequel to their 2019's super hit comedy-drama film "Dream Girl". Ananya Panday is the female lead this time, replacing Nushrat Bharucha from the original movie. ## "Dream Girl 2" is scheduled to release on August 25 and this is the best bet for Ayushmann Khurrana as far as the box office prospects are concerned. Meanwhile, the movie has been certified with a "U/A" certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes. Mumbai, April 24 - Ayushmann Khurrana's much-awaited social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 is again on the movie as the makers have postponed the release to 25 August 2023. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film was scheduled to hit screens on July 7 this year, after getting postponed from the previous date of 23 June 2023.
